SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Aetna (NYSE: AET) and Sutter Health today
announced that they have reached agreement on a two-year contract renewal maintaining network access for Aetna
members in Northern California.
With this agreement, members of Aetna commercial plans can receive covered benefits, at in-network rates, from
Sutter Health hospitals and ancillary facilities.
The contract also keeps the physicians and health care providers at the Sutter facilities as participating network
providers.
“Aetna is pleased to extend its long-term relationship with Sutter Health,” said Brendhan Green, Aetna’s vice
president of network operations for Northern California. “We were able to come to terms on a new agreement that
preserves access for our members in Northern California without disruption.”
“Sutter Health is pleased that Aetna members will continue to benefit from our comprehensive network of hospitals,
physicians and other medical services through this new, multi-year agreement,” said Sutter Health President and
CEO Pat Fry.
