Revised 8/27/09
Criteria for Shutter and Door Color Choices
This Criteria provides a basis of consistency in the selection of paint color for both the
painting of house shutters and front doors. The original paint choices by the developer were
Duron paint colors because they closely matched the manufactured shutter colors.
1 . Re-painting of shutters or the exterior of front doors to the original color is considered a
maintenance activity and requires no prior approval. Example: If the original shutter was
Forest Green, Duron’s “Jasper” would be a match.
2. Changing the color of the shutters or the exterior of front doors to one of the
“acceptable” colors listed below (Attach. A) requires no prior approval. These colors are
already used in the community and most closely match the colors utilized by the Developer.
3. Changing the color of the shutters or the exterior of front doors to another color or paint
manufacturer other than “Duron” requires prior approval from the Board of Directors. A
sample of any new color choice must be submitted to the Architectural Control Committee
for approval or disapproval and recommendation to the BOD. The BOD will then
approve/disapprove with written notice provided back to the requestor.
