HUBLOT UNVEILS KING POWER RED DEVIL IN SHANGHAI
June 29, 2011 - Shanghai - Manchester United, Barclays Premier League Champions, today
held a cocktail party in the Hublot boutique at Plaza 66 in Shanghai, with one of the Club‟s
famous players, Patrice Evra, in attendance. This event is part of the twelve-day Champions
Trophy Tour of Asia. As THE official timekeeper and long-term partner of Manchester United,
Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot shows its highest respect for the Club and congratulates them
on their historic 19th English league title won in May 2011.
A club with an exceptional record and iconic players, Manchester United‟s legendary soccer
team boasts over 132 years of history, during which they won 36 major trophies. Since 1878,
Manchester United has crystallized the world‟s passion for soccer. The team, an embodiment of
great ambitions, began its partnership with Hublot, their official timekeeper, in 2008. A huge
Hublot clock tower welcomes visitors and fans at the main entrance to Old Trafford Stadium. As
a tribute to this fantastic partnership, Hublot developed three limited editions: Red Devil Bang I in
black ceramic at only 500 pieces, Red Devil Bang II in King Gold at only 100 pieces, and in 2011,
the newly launched King Power Red Devil in two versions at 500 pieces and 250 pieces,
respectively. These three models are equipped with a 45-minute chronograph movement
especially designed for counting down each half of a football game. They also incorporate the
Red Devils emblem on the dial.
The latest King Power Red Devil to be unveiled on the hallowed turf of Old Trafford on 7 May
2011 is a testament to fusion and innovation. Featuring a new chronograph movement with two
centre chrono hands that provide better readability, it comes with a new skeleton working,
leaving it more open to reveal even more of the working parts of the watch and its fine
mechanics. In a nod to Old Trafford's more than one hundred year-old turf, the watch indices
come in a natural grass-green colour, obtained using real blades of grass from Old Trafford,
picked and preserved especially by the club's groundsmen for the making of this limited series.
It took Hublot 6 months of development to stabilise the plant material and its original colour,
including against UV and temperature differences. The case comes with two redesigned push
buttons, each protected by a little safety bar, which is completely built-in on either side of the
crown. This limited edition is produced in 500 numbered pieces for the micro-blasted black
ceramic version and in 250 pieces for the King Gold 18K version. Each watch is accompanied by
a certificate guaranteeing its authenticity, signed personally by Sir Alex Ferguson.

Hublot and Manchester United - Milestones
Oct.2008 Hublot becomes the official timekeeper of Manchester United and launches the
Red Devil Bang I to celebrate the club‟s 130th Anniversary and double victory -
in the Premier League and in the Champions‟ League.
Jul. 2009 Manchester United visits China. Hublot and MU host the “One Million Dollar
Goal” in Hangzhou to collect charity funds for the “Hope Education Foundation”
established by Li Xinjie, Xu Ruyun et al.
Aug. 2009 A ten-meter tall “Hublot tower clock” is unveiled in the legendary Old Trafford
Stadium.
Oct. 2009 Hublot develops a limited edition (100 pcs.) of the Red Devil Bang II in red gold
Jul. 2010 Hublot and Manchester United launch the One Million Dollar “Goal for United
for UNICEF Challenge” in New York City. Over the past few years, the
Manchester United-UNICEF initiative has collected more than two million
pounds and improved the living conditions of more than two million two
hundred thousand children.
May, 7th, 2011 Hublot launches the King Power Red Devil in the legendary Old Trafford
Stadium.
