HEIGHT AND POSITIONING OF THE ENTRANCE PANEL

When installing the entrance panel, in both the audio and video versions,
the pushbutton panel should be positioned as in the indications given here
 at the side.
The camera must not be installed in front of large light sources, or in places
where the subject being filmed is in the shadow. 160 to 165 cm
If this condition cannot be respected, the picture will not have much contrast
in the darker areas. This is because the brightness is self-regulated on the
 lighter part of the picture.
To solve these problems change the camera installation height, normally 160
 – 165 cm, to a height of 180 cm and direct the lens downwards to improve
 the quality of the shots.

 NOTE:
 - In bad lighting cameras with colour sensor are less sensitive than black/
 white cameras.

                                                                                                                 NO
An extra lighting source should thus be provided in badly lit places.
 - To allow use by disabled or handicapped people, the devices should be
 installed at a height of 120 – 125 cm.

     HEIGHT OF THE AUDIO HANDSET

When installing the audio handset, in both the audio and video versions, the
devices should be mounted as shown in the figure below.

 NOTE:
To allow use by disabled or handicapped people, the devices should be 160 to 165 cm

     BTICINO CABLE ITEM 336904

For video systems, BTicino has specially made a cable, Item 336904, made up
of 2 twisted wires with cross-section of 0.50mm2 for each conductor. This cable
gives best performance in the video system (greater distance between Entrance
Panel and Audio Handset than when using other cables). Also, unlike commonly
used cables which are not suitable for laying under the floor even if protected by
piping, Item 336904 is suitable for under-floor laying as long as it is protected by
suitable piping, because it respects the requirements of standard IEC 20-11 for
cables which can be laid under the floor.

 WARNING:
although Item 336904 guarantees in its construction 300/500V electrical
insulation immunity to the disturbances which may occur whenever the cable
itself is laid in the same piping as the 230V power cable is not guaranteed.
These types of installation are strongly not recommended.

 BTICINO CABLE ITEM C9881U/5E

Unshielded cable (UTP) in category 5E with four pairs of AWG24 conductors.
Made for structured wiring applications, data transmission networks.
If the distances which can be obtained with cable Item 336900/03 are to be
reached, two extra conductors should be provided, minimum cross-section
1.5mm2, to supply the device.

Conditions of use
The cable is not suitable for being buried, even with suitable piping, and it should
not transit together with the power lines (230 Va.c.).

 UTP5 MULTIPAIR CABLE

A normal UTP5 multipair cable, available on the market, can be used as an
alternative to the BTicino cable. If the distances which can be obtained with
cable Item 336900/03 are to be reached two extra wires, minimum cross-section
1.5mm2, must be provided for the device power supply. UTP5 and C9881U/5E
cables are indicated for the apartment stretches (from the floor distribution block
to the audio handset) if there are problems of inserting cable Item 336900.

Conditions of use
Before installing check the cable insulation and whether it can be buried.

 BTICINO CABLE ITEM 336900 / ITEM 336903

The cable has been specially designed to make door entry and video door entry
systems with the digital system. It is made up of 3 pairs of individually twisted 5 6 7 8
wires for the signals and 2 wires for the low-voltage device supply. The power

supply wires (blue and red) have a cross-section of 1.5 mm2; those for the signals
(green-green white, orange-orange white, brown-brown white) have a cross-
section of 0.35 mm2. The three pairs of wires have been twisted with different
pitches to optimise signal transmission. The colour-function reference indicated on
the diagrams should thus be respected. 1 Blue

       CONFIGURATION
       Interface Item F426
The SCS/EIB interface can connect an SCS system to an EIB system with three
 different modes:

 - Standard mode BUS EIB
 - Field bus mode
 - Auto_memo mode

All three modes are always active. In general terms, these modes require
a different approach in the use of the interface, but they do not mutually
 exclude.
With the auto_memo mode, any SCS frame can be connected with EIB
telegrams. The interface converts only three types of frames from SCS to EIB: key
 - Alarm (from the Burglar alarm system)
 - Auxiliary controls (from the Burglar alarm system or from the Automation LED
    system)
 - Automation system controls
Every frame should be associated with a specific EIB control and a specific
EIB address. In EIB possible actions are the following: BUS SCS configurators
 - Commute an ON/OFF actuator;
 - Control a shutter (UP/DOWN/STOP);
 - Distance display.
For these reasons, a default conversion from SCS to EIB can be defined:
                                                                                           front view

     EIB address = X/Y/I1/I2

                                                                                                    m1
                                                                                                    m2

 using two configurators.

Using Item L4652/2 with the configurator in position M=CEN there are four groups addresses). To determine whether Item L4652/2 controls a light or
different controls with the same destination address: a shutter, we need to specify a separation address by means of another two
one control for each pushbutton (1,2,3,4). If we want to control a light, only configurators (WU):
the lower pushbuttons can be used (3 and 4) for the ON/OFF commutation
of two different lights, cyclically: Address > WU = shutter

If we want to control shutters, and, particularly, two different shutters,
we need to use all the pushbuttons (1,2,3,4). Using pushbuttons 1 and If no configurators are installed, all routed addresses are for shutter control.
3, the corresponding group address is X/Y. Using pushbuttons 2 and 4, In the event of a wrong configuration, the EIB and PROG. LEDs are on or
the corresponding group address is X/Z, where Z is selected by means flashing.

USE OF INTERFACES HAVING SEVERAL MODES

In case of considerably complex house automation systems, several systems or interfaced with the Burglar alarm or the Energy Management system by
with interfaces configured with different modes can be integrated. means of additional interfaces.
For example, a system with three interfaces in the “logic expansion” mode This is the case, for instance, of a large multi-storey villa where the
