					  The Kingdom of God

  A biblical study in twelve
           lectures
       by Steve Gregg

        Lecture #1
The Meaning of the Kingdom
   I. Perceiving the relevance of the
               kingdom:
…in praying

              Matthew 6:9-10
          Our Father in heaven,
         Hallowed be Your name.
          Your kingdom come.
             Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
    I. Perceiving the relevance of the
                kingdom:
…in preaching

                Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be
preached in all the world as a witness to all
the nations, and then the end will come.
   I. Perceiving the relevance of the
               kingdom:
…in pursuing

              Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and
His righteousness, and all these things
           shall be added to you.
  II. The difficulty of defining
       the kingdom of God
A. Synonymous with “the kingdom of heaven”

                Matthew 19:23-24
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I
say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter
the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to
you, it is easier for a camel to go through the
eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the
 kingdom of God.”
Mark 1:14-15
Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came
to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the
kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is
fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach and to
say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is
 at hand.”
B. Not synonymous with “heaven”

        Matthew 6:10
    Your kingdom come.
      Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
 C. Not synonymous with “the millennium”

Isaiah 9:6-7
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
    Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
    There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
Daniel 2:44
And in the days of these kings the God
of heaven will set up a kingdom which
shall never be destroyed; and the
kingdom shall not be left to other
people; it shall break in pieces and
consume all these kingdoms, and it
 shall stand forever.
Daniel 7:13-14, 27
“ I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One
like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of
heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and
they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him
was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that
all peoples, nations, and languages should serve
Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the
one which shall not be destroyed… Then the
kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the
kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given
to the people, the saints of the Most High. His
kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all
dominions shall serve and obey Him.‟”
Luke 1:32-33
“…He will be great, and will be called the
Son of the Highest; and the Lord God
will give Him the throne of His father
David. And He will reign over the house
of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom
  there will be no end.”
    D. What is its relationship to Israel?
Acts 1:6-8
Therefore, when they had come together, they
asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this
time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And
He said to them, “It is not for you to know
times or seasons which the Father has put in
His own authority. But you shall receive
power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in
Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the end of the earth.”
Romans 9:6
It is not as though God's word had failed.
For not all who are descended from
  Israel are Israel.
     E. Not some mystical inner reality

Luke 17:20-21
Now when He was asked by the Pharisees
when the kingdom of God would come, He
answered them and said, “The kingdom of
God does not come with observation; nor will
  they say, „See here!‟ or „See there!‟ For
indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."
Luke 16:16
The law and the prophets were until John. Since that
time the kingdom of God has been preached, and
  everyone is pressing into it.

Matthew 5:20
For I say to you, that unless your righteousness
exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and
Pharisees, you will by no means enter the
 kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 7:21
Not everyone who says to Me, „Lord, Lord,‟ shall
enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does
the will of My Father in heaven.
              F. Spiritual in nature
John 3:3-7
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly,
I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot
see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to
Him, “How can a man be born when he is old?
Can he enter a second time into his mother‟s
womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most
assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of
water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the
kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh
is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is
spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, „You must
  be born again.‟
Romans 14:17
for the kingdom of God is not eating
  and drinking, but righteousness and
peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
III. The Kingdom as a “people”
A. Israel from Sinai till Saul

Exodus 19:5-6
Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My
voice and keep My covenant, then you
shall be a special treasure to Me above all
people; for all the earth is Mine. And you
shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a
holy nation.‟ These are the words which you
shall speak to the children of Israel.”
Judges 8:22-23
Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, “Rule
over us, both you and your son, and your
grandson also; for you have delivered us
from the hand of Midian.” But Gideon said to
them, “I will not rule over you, nor shall my
son rule over you; the LORD shall rule over
  you.”
1 Samuel 8:6-7
But the thing displeased Samuel when they
said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So
Samuel prayed to the LORD. And the LORD
said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people
in all that they say to you; for they have not
rejected you, but they have rejected Me,
that I should not reign over them.
Hosea 13:11
I gave you a king in My anger, and took
him away in My wrath.
B. Israel under monarchs—the House of David

 1 Samuel 15:26-28
But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with
you, for you have rejected the word of the
LORD, and the LORD has rejected you
from being king over Israel.” And as
Samuel turned around to go away, Saul
seized the edge of his robe, and it tore. So
Samuel said to him, “The LORD has torn the
kingdom of Israel from you today, and has
given it to a neighbor of yours, who is
   better than you.”
2 Samuel 7:12-13
“When your days are fulfilled and you rest
with your fathers, I will set up your seed
after you, who will come from your body, and
I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a
house for My name, and I will establish the
  throne of his kingdom forever.”
2 Samuel 7:12-13
“When your days are fulfilled and you rest
with your fathers, I will set up your seed
after you, who will come from your body, and
I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a
house for My name, and I will establish the
  throne of his kingdom forever.”
     C. Prophecies of the kingdom

Daniel 2:44
And in the days of these kings the God
of heaven will set up a kingdom
which shall never be destroyed; and the
kingdom shall not be left to other
people; it shall break in pieces and
consume all these kingdoms, and it
 shall stand forever.
Hosea 13:9-10
“ O Israel, you are destroyed, but your help is
from Me. I will be your King; where is any
other, that he may save you in all your cities?”

Zechariah 14:9
And the LORD shall be King over all the
earth. In that day it shall be—“ The LORD is
  one,” and His name one.
Isaiah 2:2-4
Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the
mountain of the LORD‟s house shall be established
on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted
above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.
Many people shall come and say, “ Come, and let us
go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of
the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we
shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth
the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke
many people; they shall beat their swords into
   plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks;
nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war anymore.
              D. The Messiah

Genesis 49:10
The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a
lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh
comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of
  the people.

Psalm 110:1
The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right
hand, till I make Your enemies Your
  footstool.”
Daniel 7:13-14
“I was watching in the night visions, and
behold, One like the Son of Man, coming
with the clouds of heaven! He came to the
Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near
before Him. Then to Him was given dominion
and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples,
nations, and languages should serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
which shall not pass away, and His kingdom
the one which shall not be destroyed…
Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a Child is born,
    Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
    Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
    There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
  E. Taken from apostate Israel;
        Given to another
Matthew 21:43

“Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of
God will be taken from you and given to a
nation bearing the fruits of it.”
Matthew 22:8-9

Then [the King] said to his servants,
“The wedding is ready, but those who
were invited were not worthy. Therefore,
go into the highways, and as many as you
 find, invite to the wedding.”

The Centrality of the Kingdom
A. The Gospel of the kingdom of God
Mark 1:14-15
Now after John was put in prison,
Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the
gospel of the kingdom of God, and
saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the
kingdom of God is at hand. Repent,
 and believe in the gospel.”
Matthew 9:35
Then Jesus went about all the cities and
 villages, teaching in their synagogues,
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and
healing every sickness and every disease
 among the people.

Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be
preached in all the world as a witness to
all the nations, and then the end will
 come.
           B. John the Baptist
Matthew 3:2
In those days John the Baptist came
preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and
saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of
 heaven is at hand!”

Luke 16:16
“The law and the prophets were until
John. Since that time the kingdom of God
has been preached, and everyone is
  pressing into it.
        C. The teaching of Christ

Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach and
to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of
 heaven is at hand.”

Luke 4:43
He said to them, “I must preach the
kingdom of God to the other cities also,
because for this purpose I have been
  sent.”
Luke 8:1, 10
Now it came to pass, afterward, that He
went through every city and village,
preaching and bringing the glad tidings of
the kingdom of God. And the twelve were
with Him… And He said, “To you it has
been given to know the mysteries of the
kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given
 in parables…”
Luke 9:1-2, 11
Then He called His twelve disciples
together and gave them power and
authority over all demons, and to cure
diseases. He sent them to preach the
kingdom of God and to heal the sick… But
when the multitudes knew it, they
followed Him; and He received them and
spoke to them about the kingdom of God,
and healed those who had need of
  healing.
Mark 4:30
Then He said, “To what shall we liken the
kingdom of God? Or with what parable
 shall we picture it?

Acts 1:3
To [His apostles] He also presented
Himself alive after His suffering by many
infallible proofs, being seen by them
during forty days and speaking of the
things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
        D. The primitive church

Acts 8:12
But when they believed Philip as he
 preached the things concerning the
kingdom of God and the name of Jesus
Christ, both men and women were
 baptized.

Acts 14:22
…strengthening the souls of the disciples,
exhorting them to continue in the faith,
and saying, “We must through many
tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”
Acts 19:8
And he went into the synagogue and spoke
boldly for three months, reasoning and
persuading concerning the things of the
 kingdom of God.

Acts 20:25
And indeed, now I know that you all, among
whom I have gone preaching the kingdom
of God, will see my face no more.
Acts 28: 23
So when they had appointed him a day, many
came to him at his lodging, to whom he explained
and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God,
persuading them concerning Jesus from both the
Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning
  till evening.

Acts 28:30-31
Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own
rented house, and received all who came to him,
preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the
things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with
all confidence, no one forbidding him.
E. The Bottom Line: Lordship of Christ &
          Call to discipleship

Acts 2:36
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know
assuredly that God has made this Jesus,
whom you crucified, both Lord and
 Christ.”
Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth
the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God has raised Him from
the dead, you will be saved.
Luke 6:46
“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and
do not do the things which I say?”

John 8:31
Then Jesus said to those Jews who
believed Him, “If you abide in My word,
 you are My disciples indeed.”
Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and spoke to them,
saying, “All authority has been given to
Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore
and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things that I
have commanded you; and lo, I am with
you always, even to the end of the age.”
 Amen.

 The Progress of the Kingdom
  I. The Kingdom Inaugurated

Matthew 12:28
But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of
God, surely the kingdom of God has come
 upon you.
Luke 17:20-21

Now when He was asked by the
Pharisees when the kingdom of God
would come, He answered them and said,
“The kingdom of God does not come with
observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’
or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of
God is within you [or “in your midst”].”
Mark 12:34

Now when Jesus saw that he answered
wisely, He said to him, “You are not far
 from the kingdom of God.”
Mark 11:9-10
Then those who went before and those
 who followed cried out, saying:
“Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in
the name of the LORD! Blessed is the
kingdom of our father David that comes in
the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the
 highest!”
Acts 2:29-32

“Men and brethren, let me speak freely
to you of the patriarch David, that he is
both dead and buried, and his tomb is with
us to this day. Therefore, being a
prophet, and knowing that God had sworn
with an oath to him that of the fruit of his
body, according to the flesh, He would
raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,
he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the
resurrection of the Christ, that His soul
was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh
see corruption. This Jesus God has
raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
Acts 13:32-34

And we declare to you glad tidings—that
promise which was made to the fathers.
33 God has fulfilled this for us their
children, in that He has raised up Jesus.
As it is also written in the second Psalm:
   ‘ You are My Son,
   Today I have begotten You.’
And that He raised Him from the dead, no
more to return to corruption, He has
 spoken thus:
‘ I will give you the sure mercies of
 David.’
       The Messiah Reigns

Psalm 2:1-8
        Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His
             Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
Psalm 2:1-8 (cont.)

  He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep
                displeasure:
“Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”
Psalm 2:1-8 (cont.)

        “I will declare the decree:
The LORD has said to Me,
                 ‘You are My Son,
          Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
       The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your
                  possession.
Acts 4:24-27
So when they heard that, they raised their voice
to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are
God, who made heaven and earth and the sea,
and all that is in them, who by the mouth of Your
 servant David have said:
‘ Why did the nations rage,
And the people plot vain things?
The kings of the earth took their stand,
And the rulers were gathered together
Against the LORD and against His Christ.’
For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus,
whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius
Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel,
 were gathered together…”
Psalm 110:1

The LORD said to my Lord,
     “Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your
 footstool.”
Acts 2:32-36

This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are
all witnesses. Therefore being exalted to the
right hand of God, and having received from the
Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured
out this which you now see and hear. For
 David…says himself:
‘ The LORD said to my Lord,
“ Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
Therefore let all the house of Israel know
assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom
you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
Ephesians 1:20-22

…which He worked in Christ when He
raised Him from the dead and seated Him
at His right hand in the heavenly places,
far above all principality and power and
might and dominion, and every name that
is named, not only in this age but also in
that which is to come. And He put all
things under His feet, and gave Him to be
head over all things to the church.
Revelation 3:21

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit
with Me on My throne, as I also overcame
and sat down with My Father on His
 throne.
Acts 17:7

Jason has harbored them, and these are
all acting contrary to the decrees of
Caesar, saying there is another king—
 Jesus.”
         II. The Kingdom Resisted
A. The devil’s hostility
Revelation 12

      1. Now a great sign appeared in heaven:
a woman clothed with the sun, with the
moon under her feet, and on her head a
garland of twelve stars. 2. Then being with
child, she cried out in labor and in pain to
   give birth.
     3. And another sign appeared in heaven:
behold, a great, fiery red dragon having
seven heads and ten horns, and seven
Revelation 12 (cont.)

  4. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven
and threw them to the earth. And the dragon
stood before the woman who was ready to
give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it
was born. 5. She bore a male Child who was to
rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her
Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6.
Then the woman fled into the wilderness,
where she has a place prepared by God, that
they should feed her there one thousand two
 hundred and sixty days.
Revelation 12 (cont.)

   7. And war broke out in heaven: Michael
  and his angels fought with the dragon;
and the dragon and his angels fought, 8.
but they did not prevail, nor was a place
found for them in heaven any longer. 9.
So the great dragon was cast out, that
serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan,
who deceives the whole world; he was
cast to the earth, and his angels were
  cast out with him.
Revelation 12 (cont.)

   10. Then I heard a loud voice saying in
heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the
kingdom of our God, and the power of His
Christ have come, for the accuser of our
brethren, who accused them before our God
day and night, has been cast down. 11. And
they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony, and they
did not love their lives to the death.
Revelation 12 (cont.)

   12. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you
who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of
the earth and the sea! For the devil has come
down to you, having great wrath, because he
knows that he has a short time.”
   13. Now when the dragon saw that he had
been cast to the earth, he persecuted the
woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14.
But the woman was given two wings of a great
eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to
her place, where she is nourished for a time
and times and half a time, from the presence
Revelation 12 (cont.)

   15. So the serpent spewed water out of his
mouth like a flood after the woman, that he
might cause her to be carried away by the
flood. 16. But the earth helped the woman,
and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed
up the flood which the dragon had spewed out
of his mouth. 17. And the dragon was enraged
with the woman, and he went to make war
with the rest of her offspring, who keep the
commandments of God and have the
  testimony of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 11:12
And from the days of John the Baptist
until now the kingdom of heaven suffers
violence, and the violent take it by force.

Luke 16:16
“The law and the prophets were until
John. Since that time the kingdom of God
has been preached, and everyone is
  pressing into it.
2 Timothy 2:3-4

You therefore must endure hardship as a
good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one
engaged in warfare entangles himself with
the affairs of this life, that he may please
him who enlisted him as a soldier.
Matthew 12:28-29

But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely
the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can
one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods,
unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will
  plunder his house.

Luke 11:20-22

But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely
the kingdom of God has come upon you. When a
strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his
goods are in peace. But when a stronger than he
comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him
all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.
Colossians 2:15

  Having disarmed principalities and
powers, He made a public spectacle of
them, triumphing over them in it.
Hebrews 2:14-15

Inasmuch then as the children have
partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself
likewise shared in the same, that through
death He might destroy him who had the
power of death, that is, the devil, and
release those who through fear of death
were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5

For the weapons of our warfare are not
carnal but mighty in God for pulling down
 strongholds, casting down arguments and
every high thing that exalts itself against
the knowledge of God, bringing every
thought into captivity to the obedience of
 Christ.

The Progress and Triumph of the
            Kingdom
  I. The Kingdom Progressing

Colossians 1:13

He has delivered us from the power of
darkness and conveyed us into the
kingdom of the Son of His love,
Daniel 2:34-35

You watched while a stone was cut out
without hands, which struck the image on its
feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces.
Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver,
and the gold were crushed together, and
became like chaff from the summer threshing
floors; the wind carried them away so that no
trace of them was found. And the stone that
struck the image became a great mountain and
 filled the whole earth…
Daniel 2:44

And in the days of these kings the God of
heaven will set up a kingdom which shall
never be destroyed; and the kingdom
shall not be left to other people; it shall
break in pieces and consume all these
kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.
Matthew 21:43-44

“Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of
God will be taken from you and given to a
nation bearing the fruits of it. And
whoever falls on this stone will be
broken; but on whomever it falls, it will
 grind him to powder.”
Matthew 13:31-32

Another parable He put forth to them,
saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a
mustard seed, which a man took and
sowed in his field, which indeed is the
least of all the seeds; but when it is
grown it is greater than the herbs and
becomes a tree, so that the birds of the
air come and nest in its branches.”
Daniel 4:10-12

These were the visions of my head while
on my bed: I was looking, and behold, a tree
in the midst of the earth, and its height was
great. The tree grew and became strong; its
height reached to the heavens, and it could be
seen to the ends of all the earth.
Its leaves were lovely, its fruit abundant,
and in it was food for all. The beasts of the
field found shade under it, the birds of the
heavens dwelt in its branches, and all flesh
 was fed from it.
Ezekiel 31:3-6

Indeed Assyria was a cedar in Lebanon, with
fine branches that shaded the forest, and of
high stature; and its top was among the thick
boughs…its height was exalted above all the
trees of the field; its boughs were multiplied,
and its branches became long because of the
abundance of water, as it sent them out. All
the birds of the heavens made their nests in its
boughs; under its branches all the beasts of
the field brought forth their young; and in its
shadow all great nations made their home.
Ezekiel 17:22-24

Thus says the Lord GOD: “I will take also
one of the highest branches of the high cedar
and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost
of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant
it on a high and prominent mountain. On the
mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it
will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be
a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of
every sort; in the shadow of its branches they
will dwell. And all the trees of the field shall
know that I, the LORD, have brought down the
high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up
 the green tree and made the dry tree flourish;
I, the LORD, have spoken and have done it.”
Matthew 13:33

Another parable He spoke to them: “The
kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a
woman took and hid in three measures of
meal till it was all leavened.”
    II. The Kingdom Future

Luke 19:12

Therefore He said, “A certain nobleman
went into a far country to receive for
himself a kingdom and to return…”
Daniel 7:13-14
I was watching in the night visions, and
behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the
    clouds of heaven!

He came to the Ancient of Days, and they
    brought Him near before Him.

Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a
kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages
    should serve Him.

His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which
shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one
    which shall not be destroyed.

Daniel 7:22, 27

…until the Ancient of Days came, and a
judgment was made in favor of the saints of the
Most High, and the time came for the saints to
 possess the kingdom.

…Then the kingdom and dominion, and the
greatness of the kingdoms under the whole
heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of
the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting
kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey
 Him.’
Luke 12:32

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your
Father’s good pleasure to give you the
  kingdom.
2 Timothy 2:11-13

          This is a faithful saying:
For if we died with Him,
We shall also live with Him.
                   If we endure,
We shall also reign with Him.
                 If we deny Him,
             He also will deny us.
               If we are faithless,
              He remains faithful;
           He cannot deny Himself.
Revelation 11:15

Then the seventh angel sounded: And
there were loud voices in heaven, saying,
“The kingdoms of this world have become
the kingdoms of our Lord and of His
Christ, and He shall reign forever and
 ever!”
1 Corinthians 15:22-26

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ
all shall be made alive. But each one in
his own order: Christ the firstfruits,
afterward those who are Christ’s at His
coming. Then comes the end, when He
delivers the kingdom to God the Father,
when He puts an end to all rule and all
authority and power. For He must reign
till He has put all enemies under His feet.
The last enemy that will be destroyed is
 death.
Philippians 2:10-11

Therefore God also has highly exalted
Him and given Him the name which is
above every name, that at the name of
Jesus every knee should bow, of those in
heaven, and of those on earth, and of
those under the earth, and that every
tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Isaiah 42:1-4

“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold,
My Elect One in whom My soul delights!
           I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.
He will not cry out, nor raise His voice,
Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.
A bruised reed He will not break,
        And smoking flax He will not quench;
He will bring forth justice for truth.
He will not fail nor be discouraged,
     Till He has established justice in the earth;
And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”
