I. WEB HOSTING (11 Sites)
Services shall consist of the following eligible E-Rate items:
Unlimited disk space
Unlimited bandwidth
24/7 monitoring
Maintenance and technical support to maintain reliable operation
Setup, support, and upgrades included in annual fee.
Comprehensive student safe website maintenance for unlimited users
Live technical support for all users
Custom domain name
Daily backups for disaster recovery
Interactive communication capability for all users, such as blogging
Service provider must be able to offer the following ineligible items:
Complete battery backup in case of power failure
Advertising capability offered to district.
Unlimited pages
LDAP authentication
Unlimited users and multi-level groups with permission based login
Homework/Assignment listing
Integrated District Wide Calendar
Integrated comprehensive survey generation software
Integrated web-site search engine
The ability to provide an Open-database architecture for ease of
integration with other central office and school applications will be
considered as a positive factor.
Release of all content and information to the district if the services are no
longer funded or the company becomes insolvent will be considered as a
positive factor.
Proof of multiple DS3 connections to the Internet by provider will be
considered as a positive factor.
Service provider must supply a list of all other ineligible items offered, along with
cost provisions.

II. STUDENT E-MAIL SERVICES (8 Sites)
Student E-mail Services shall consist of the following eligible E-Rate items:
Each user account must be provided a minimum of 50 MB storage for
individual emails and email folders.
Features to be included, but not limited to, are:
o Interactive communication such as blogging, instant messaging,
and chat.
o Address book to establish individual’s email and contact
information as well as the ability to establish group folders
available for both district wide and individual usage.
o The solution must have the ability to provide e-mail messaging,
upload file attachments, and protect incoming email using spam
filtering, anti-virus protections, and content filtering for offensive
material of a pornographic nature.
o Provide a user friendly system that at a minimum allows for email
creation, sending immediately or scheduling a sending time,
receiving, forwarding, editing, and printing of messages; spelling
and grammar checking features; formatting tool bar functions
including but not limited to font styles, bullets, text alignment, text
highlighting, text appearance; address book.
o Provide automated password reset with a required time frame
setting option that can set by an email administrator as well as a
forgotten password process allowing for individuals to reset their
password on an individual basis.
Vendor personnel will be fully responsible for the maintenance of all
mailboxes including any additions, changes or deletions of mailboxes.
File backups and archived retrieval will be the responsibility of the
Vendor, and will be performed at intervals that will ensure system data is
recoverable.
The E-mail system must be available twenty-four hours daily, seven days
per week, except for brief periods for scheduled maintenance which must
be coordinated with and approved by the Hutto ISD Technology
representative.
Vendor must specify if services or uses, ineligible for E-Rate funding, are
included; and must provide cost allocation pricing.

Quotes should be broken down per campus. All campuses may or may
not be included in final contract. Hutto ISD reserves the right to add and
remove campuses as needed.
Service provider must supply a list of all other ineligible items offered, along with
cost provisions for E-Rate.
