THE CAT AND DOG DAYS OF SUMMER NEWSLETTER, 2008

P.O. Box 2285, Toluca Lake, CA 91602

Because we never take a vacation from helping the animals.

BREAKING NEWS!

BROTHERS HAVE A NEW HOME

Angelica’s boys, Mikie and Louie, were

adopted last month. The kids had been

with us since the day they were born, April

14, 2006. As many of you know, Angelica was

rescued from skid row downtown and she gave

birth to a litter of six the same day we

rescued her. Mikie and Louie are now living in

Sherman Oaks with their new mom Treva, who

is spoiling them rotten. All of Angie's kids Mikie and Louie are living like princes in their

are now adopted. Hurray!!! wonderful new home…and they’re together forever.

AT LAST STELLA HAS A MOM

OF HER OWN

Stella also was adopted last month. She

was with us for over two years, after her

guardian died unexpectedly. Stella was

adopted by Kim, who lives in Sherman Oaks.

Stella is enjoying being an only child and

hanging out with her school teacher mom all

summer long. Stella has so much fun playing

with all of her wonderful new toys!

Stella is cozy and happy in her forever home.

It was worth the wait for all three of these precious animals to find a loving home.

At Forgotten Animals, our commitment to the safety and welfare of these beautiful

creatures is unending…we will care for them for as long as it takes until the perfect

new home is found.

MORE SUCCESS STORIES!

JAKE WAS THROWN AWAY, BUT

NOW HE’S GOT A LOVING HOME

Jake showed up in Charleen’s backyard last fall.

There is a lot of construction going on in the

neighborhood, with many buildings being torn

down to put up a condo. Tragically, uncaring

people leave their animals behind when they

move, and Jake was a victim of this kind of

horrible neglect. Jake was very frightened at

first, but it didn’t take long for him to turn into

Jake is such a big, happy boy in his great new home.

a love machine. He was quickly adopted by Rich

and they both live happily in Laurel Canyon.

SHE WAS ON THE STREETS, BUT NOW

SHE’S SAFE, SECURE, AND LOVED

Beautiful Olivia was one of a group of cats

FALA rescued from the hills of Silver Lake,

where it was only a matter of time before they

would surely have been eaten by coyotes. Olivia

is now living in Valley Village with her new

guardian, Ted. Ted tells us that she has become

quite the talker!

I get so much love in my new home!

GIGI IS NEVER LEAVING HER

NEW MOM!

Gigi was adopted by her foster mom Gina, who

just couldn't stand the thought of letting her

go to someone else. We're delighted that our

wonderful foster mom has become a wonderful

permanent mom! Gigi was one of a group of

babies FALA rescued from danger, cold, and

hunger at a tire shop.

It’s so much easier to catch a cat nap when

you feel so safe and loved!

HERE ARE JUST A FEW OF THE FALA CATS WHO HAVE BEEN REHABILITATED

AND ARE NOW READY FOR A FOREVER HOME!

All of FALA’s cats are neutered, tested for felv/fiv, treated for fleas,

inoculated, wormed and micro-chipped.

Meadow and her four kittens were found

underneath an apartment complex in the Valley.

She is a classic mackerel Tabby, and she is a

total sweetheart. Meadow would love to come sit

on your lap and cuddle with you!

I’ve got lots of love to give!

Three of Meadow’s kittens are still available for adoption

(we’re happy to report that Mack has a forever home!)

Precious Karl, Chloe, and Julie hope to find their forever

home too. We also have beautiful baby Magpie available for

adoption. This little girl was found hiding in a tree,

terrified and hungry. But now she’s safe and she’s

blossomed into a true love bug!

We’re little cats with huge hearts!

Kitaro is a two-and-a-half year old Siamese chocolate

point beauty. He was found hiding underneath an

apartment complex in the Valley and had clearly been

abandoned by his former owner. He is such an angel.

Kitaro is sweet and gentle and he would love to have a

forever home with you!

I can’t wait to come home with you!

Luke has been with us since

January of 2006. He is being

fostered by the wonderful

mom who adopted Mike and

Louie. Lionel has also been with

us for over two years. We will

make sure they are safe and

happy until they find their own

Luke: Are you my new family? new home.

Lionel: Hi! Wanna snuggle?

If you are interested in adopting, and to see all of the precious cats who are waiting for a

new home, please go to www.forgottenanimalsofla.org.

FALA will never falter in our commitment to the

feral cats of Los Angeles. We maintain several

feral cat colonies. All the animals in each colony

are spayed and neutered so the cycle of homeless

animals giving birth to more homeless animals can be

stopped. The feral cats are fed and cared for,

thanks to FALA volunteers.

We will always protect them.

PLEASE HELP US TO HELP THEM!

Please donate by filling out and mailing the form below. Checks can be made payable to FALA. We are

an all-volunteer organization, so 100% of your donation will immediately go to helping the animals.

Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law and make a wonderful gift for any

occasion. We have recently established a special SPAY/NEUTER FUND. Two cats and their offspring

can produce 400,000 cats over a period of seven years. If you want to make a contribution to this vital

effort, please write “Spay/Neuter Fund” on your check and we will immediately use your donation to help

prevent generations of suffering.

Please go to www.ralphs.com and click on “Community Contribution” to sign up on our behalf for their

New Community Contributions Program. Even if you have already registered, they have begun a new

phase of the program and you must register again in order for FALA to receive donations from the store

whenever you shop at Ralphs. Our NPO Number is 81200.

FALA signed up with PAYPAL: Donors can go to our website and make a donation using their credit card,

with no additional expense for them or for us to use this convenient service.

FALA is also working with GOOD SEARCH: By logging on to www.goodsearch.com when you want to do

an Internet search and then selecting Forgotten Animals of LA (Toluca Lake, CA) as your designated

charity, Good Search will make a donation to FALA when you use them as your search engine. Also, a

percentage of your purchases goes to FALA when you use GOOD SHOP (part of GOOD SEARCH).

Please go to our website, www.forgottenanimalsofla.org, for information on how to donate your car or

boat to FALA, and for information on volunteer opportunities in the Los Angeles area.

WITH OUR THANKS FOR YOUR COMMITMENT TO THE ANIMALS, AND

WITH EVERY BEST WISH FOR YOU AND YOURS!
