LANDFORMS
During library class, students will be able to research a landform. Then, students will be
able to create a persuasive speech that will encourage their fellow students to visit their
landform.
This project will be done during library class.
REQUIREMENTS POINTS
4 Note cards that follow format 10
Note Cards should contain the following information:
Description of landform 10
Where/Vegetation/Climate/Wildlife
How landform was formed 10
Approx. time period
Reasons why someone would want to visit your landform. 10
You must use at least 3 DIFFERENT sources 5
Book, Encyclopedia, Almanac, Power Library, Reference Book,
Net Trekker sites, etc. NO WIKIPEDIA!
*Bibliography of your sources in MLA format 10
This will be done as a class in library.
Oral Persuasive Speech 20
2-3 minutes
Speak clearly, slowly
No “umms, ands, etc.”
Well rehearsed
