Information for the participants
Registration & Service Desk
The Registration and Service Desks are located at the lobby area outside Meeting Rooms N101-N112, Level 1
(L1) of the session venue at the New Wing of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). All
participants are requested to collect their name badge, session bag and information kit at the registration
counters. The Service Desk will be operating throughout the session to answer your queries and provide
onsite assistance.
Registration Opening Hours
Registration will take place on 03 February from 0800 to 1000 hours and will continue throughout the session.
Identification Badge
Session Name Badge will be your official pass to gain access to all meeting rooms in the session venue.
Internet access and communication
Wireless Internet connection will be available in the Main Conference Hall. A total of ten computers with
Internet connections will be available at the Internet Corners, one in the Main Conference Hall and the other in
the Lounge, at the session venue.
Local public telephones will be available at the session venue. International-Direct-Dial (IDD) phone card and
SIM card will be available for purchase by participants at the Registration and Service Desk.
Dietary Requirements
Vegetarian dishes are available for Welcome Reception Dinner on 3 Feb, Lunch during Hospitality Tour on 7
Feb and Gala Dinner on 9 Feb. For those with special dietary needs, a special meal card will be provided.
Please bring along this card to meal receptions.
Social Events
3 Feb 2010
Opening Ceremony will be held at 1000 hours on 03 February in Room N101, Level 1, New Wing, HKCEC.
Participants are requested to be seated by 0955 hours prior to the arrival of the Officiating Guests.
Welcome Reception hosted by Hong Kong, China will be held at Box B401 - B404, 4/F Happy Valley Stand,
Happy Valley Racecourse on 03 February at 1830-2200 hours. Coaches to the venue will depart from HKCEC
(Harbour Road entrance) at 1800 hours.

A cocktail reception hosted by UK will be held at West Foyer and Corridor of the session venue on 04
February at 1830-2030 hours.
7 Feb 2010
Hospitality Visit will be held on 07 February departing from HKCEC at 0900 hours and lunch will be included.
2 Itineraries of Hospitality Visit are listed below :
1) Lantau Tour with Cable Car + Visit to Airport Meteorological Office* + Shopping
2) Lantau Tour with Cable Car + Shopping + Visit to the Hong Kong Observatory + Tour to the Peak
* Prior arrangement of Entry permit to the Airport Meteorological Office (AMO) of the Hong Kong Observatory
at the Hong Kong International Airport is mandatory. If you have not yet provided your passport copy to us,
please bring along your passport to our Service Desk no later than 03 February to facilitate permit application.
Visit to AMO is on first-come-first-serve basis and priority will be given to delegates due to space limitation.

Gala Dinner hosted by Hong Kong, China will be held on 09 February at 2nd Floor, Kam Luen Din, Jumbo
Floating Restaurant, Shum Wan Pier Drive, Wang Chuk Hang, Aberdeen, Hong Kong at 1900-2200 hours.
Coaches to the venue will depart from HKCEC (Harbour Road entrance) at 1830 hours.

pharmacies. It is suggested that participants purchase personal medical insurance for the duration of their stay

Electricity Requirements
The standard electrical voltage is 220 volts AC, 50 Hz. The majority of electrical outlets in Hong Kong, China
take a three-pronged UK-type plug.
Mobile Phone Connection
Mobile phone operators in Hong Kong, China have roaming agreements with most overseas operators.
Participants are recommended to check with their network providers beforehand. More information can be

Participants are respectfully reminded that the use of mobile telephones is prohibited in the Main Conference
Hall; they should be turned off on entry to the Hall.
Currency Exchange
Foreign currency or traveller cheques could be changed to Hong Kong Dollars (HK$). Credit cards such as
American Express, Master and Visa are accepted.
The current floating exchange rate is approximately US$ 1 ~ HK$7.8. This is subject to daily variations. Banks
are closed on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
Smoking Ban
Smoking is prohibited in all indoor public places, including restaurants, malls and bars. The smoking ban is
also implemented on public transport carriers and in both indoor and outdoor areas of some premises, such as
public beaches and swimming pools, escalators and some public transport facilities. No person shall smoke or
carry a lighted cigarette, cigar or pipe in the designated ‘no smoking’ areas, or else will be liable to a fixed
penalty of HK$1,500.
