Well it is that time of year when the Eden Foundation entices me to Head
for the Hills and ride for mental health. You can participate through sponsoring
my ride. You can use your credit card at

it off at my house or give me a call and I will come and pick it up. The Ride is
coming up on September 10, 2011 and all fundraising needs to be completed

AMC Auxiliary will continue to meet the third Monday of the month,

Interested singers are invited to join the Southern Manitoba Choral Society
for the Fall Christmas Concerts. Rehearsal will begin Tuesday, Sept. 6 at W. C.
Miller from 7:30-9:30 pm. A $25.00 registration fee is required for the season.

YFC Altona is in need of volunteers. If you have burden to impact teens in
our community and see you the hope and potential in the youth of our
community then we want you!! If you are excited to grow in faith and be
pushed into new places to unlock a greater love for our Saviour Jesus and
become fountains of that love to people around you then we want you!!

Head for the Hills bicycling fundraiser will be Saturday, September 10.
Ride 36 kms of the Trans Canada Trail through the scenic Pembina Hills south
of Mordern. Registration will be $20 and that includes a T-shirt and barbeque
lunch. Register individually or as a group (prizes for the group that raises the
most funds). All pledged proceeds in support of Eden Health Care Services.

Rhineland Area Food Bank. Remember to donate regularly. For cash
donations, take an envelope from the top of AMC’s mailboxes and include your
name and address so a receipt can be issued. Current needs: pasta, canned
meat, peanut butter, powdered milk, cereal, powdered juice, canned

Buhler Hall invites you to watch the comedy/drama/musical, All I really need
to know I learned in kindergarten. This onstage adaptation presented by an
adult alumni contains numerous, entertaining stories which are primarily about
ordinary people. The author’s comic style delivers an insightful and heartfelt
perspective on everyday life and the profound echoes that reverberate through
it. The shows runs at 7:30 pm on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday,
September 25. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students 18 and under.

applying concepts within the framework of CMU’s branding guide to create

the Lyric Bandstage in Assiniboine Park. Come for a free concert and support

Wondering what you, your family or your church can do to remember
people suffering from drought and hunger in East Africa? How about eating a
typical ration meal and then donating what you would've spent on the meal to
MCC? The Canadian Food Grains Bank has set up a website to help families,
friends, and church groups observe a tradition ration meal. Visit for recipe ideas, prayers, and
further information on the famine in East Africa. There is an invitation posted
on the main bulletin board if you are interested in contributing to this cause.

MCC invites you to its annual Alumni BBQ on Sunday, September 11, 4:00
pm at Steinbach Bible College. Regardless of where or when you served, come

MHCG is presenting The Pleasure of Getting Lost, an exhibition of Cuban
contemporary art where you are invited to meet Cuban artists Jairo Alfonso and
Francisco Núñez (Thursday Sept. 8, 7:30 pm). The exhibit will be shown till
Oct. 8. On Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 pm you are invited to Artist Talk with
both Cuban artists at the MHC Gallery, 600 Shaftesbury Blvd.

There are a group of volunteers cleaning up flood water damage in
homes at Minot, ND. 12 volunteers are needed every weekend. The group
leaves every Friday at 6:00 pm from Winkler (meeting behind the Highway
Shell). The hours of work are Saturday from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. There will be
accommodations provided in a church for one night with a breakfast and lunch.
Please bring your sleeping bag, pillow, towel, washcloth, soap, work clothes,
gloves and rubber boots. Cost per trip is approx. $30.00. Arrangements must
be made by Wednesday night each week. For more information call John J

Congress. The Congress; re:CALL:Living Mission in a
