Letter from the Pastor

“Then the Lord appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him: ‘I have heard your prayer,

and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up the heavens so

that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my

people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and

turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal

their land.’” 2 Chronicles 7:12-14

Prayer is as vital to the Christian life as oxygen is to the body. Prayer is the way that we deepen our

relationship with the living God. It is the way we communicate and express our love to God, it is how

we ask for forgiveness for our sins, it is how we ask for the things that we need in life, and it is how

those around us find healing and wholeness.

I hope that each of you find your prayer life growing each day. We are glad to offer the opportunity on

Wednesday Nights for you to deepen your prayer life though prayer meeting. Please join us as we gather

in the Lord’s house to pray. The benefits are numerous, including our own spiritual growth, our own

forgiveness of sins, and for the betterment of our land. I hope that prayer is a priority in the lives of each

of you!
