The program in detail
The VCE Accounting Workshop is unlike any other intensive exam preparation program. The workshop is
designed to be interactive, with the ability for students to quiz two experienced examination assessors,
along with the provision of exercises to both stimulate students and help them to: Seating is limited, so book early
identify, classify & record financial data and information; to avoid disappointment!!
use correct accounting terminology & apply theoretical knowledge to simulated
situations;
prepare (budgeted) financial reports;
present & communicate information in the most suitable form & using a variety of methods;
demonstrate understanding of the concepts/principles underlying the recording, reporting & presentation of accounting data/information;
analyse & interpret financial reports & other information to evaluate a business and suggest strategies; &
communicate ideas & information using a variety of presentation methods.
Vicki and Adrian have developed expertise in VCE Accounting identifying those issues that are relevant and important to students preparing for their
examination. In this workshop, they will focus students’ attention on those areas that continue to trouble even the ‘brightest students.’ The workshop
will commence with an overview of the course, before Vicki and Adrian isolate the four areas of study and use them as a foundation from which to
prepare students for the examination. Common problems areas will be clarified, relevant past exam questions will be explored, and possible questions
for the 2011 examination will be analysed. Students will be shown how to simplify or ‘unpack’ difficult questions, minimising the risk of errors, and
will be provided with strategies to help deliver concise and accurate responses that impress the assessors. If you are a student aiming for a 40+, but
require that extra ‘something,’ then this workshop could be the key!
The workshop will commence at 9.15am, with two short breaks, as well as a 45 minute recess for lunch, before concluding at 5.00pm. All participants will be
provided with morning and afternoon tea in addition to lunch and refreshments.
