Of all of the different muscles that are worked out in the gym regularly, the biceps typically get
more attention than almost any others. After all, the bicep muscles have more nicknames than
almost any other muscle in the body and they do tend to attract some attention. The fact of the
matter is, however, it doesn't matter if we are calling them guns or pythons, you need to work them
out properly in order to get the most out of our efforts. Here are the 3 best ways that you can work
out your biceps.
First of all, you need to understand that all bicep workouts are basically the same. It is the curling
motion that is done which is going to work this muscle and there really is nothing else that can be
done which is going to work it directly. It is also important that you work out your triceps in order to
keep the arms balanced and the tricep muscles are what is going to put the size on your arm. That
being said, here are the workouts that we prefer.
The first thing that we enjoy doing are preacher curls. The reason why this is the case is because
whenever you are using the proper equipment to do preacher curls, the upper arm is completely
immobilized. This really allows you to concentrate all of your effort on the bicep muscle and to
assist them in growing as large as possible.
Another similar exercise that we enjoy doing are concentration curls. These are similar to a
preacher curl but you would do them with dumbbells and the elbow will be resting on the inside of
the leg. The reason that we enjoy doing these is because it helps us to isolate each individual
bicep, one at a time. The real key to doing these effectively, however, is that you would always
work out your weaker arm first. This gives you the ability to get the most pump out of that arm
before you go on to work your stronger arm afterward.
Possibly the best bicep workout that you can do in the gym or at home, believe it or not, is one that
does not work the biceps at all. Whenever you work out the large muscles of your body, such as
whenever you're doing deadlifts or squats, you can assist your body to grow large biceps. I know
that this may sound strange, but the science is irrefutable. When working out hard and working the
large muscles, the body is releasing chemicals that signal that it is time for muscle to grow. It does
not restrict these chemicals to the area of the legs, it hits every area of the body, including the
biceps.
That is why it is important for you to have a workout plan that will touch every area of the body, not
simply isolate single muscles. Whenever you do this effectively, you would be surprised with how
much muscle you are able to put on.
