Belvidere, North Carolina
Belvidere ern part of the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is located
north-west of the twin towns of Hertford and Winfall at
— Unincorporated town — the intersection of North Carolina Highway 37, and Per-
ry’s Bridge Road on the east side of the Perquimans Riv-
er though it includes homes on both sides of the river.
It is the home of the Piney Woods Quaker Meeting locat-
ed to the west of the river and Up River Friends Meeting
(technically in Whiteston) on the east side (and five or six
miles up the river).
Belvidere is known for its quaint, country store, Lay-
den’s. Layden’s Store has been featured in Our State mag-
azine as well as many local newspapers. It is one of the
few remaining stores where one can buy homemade
Belvidere
