The Anointing of the Sick is available next weekend, September 13-14, after the 12:15 Mass. The sacrament is
available to anyone with a serious or chronic illness of mind, body or spirit, those needing major surgery, and the
elderly. If you wish to be anointed, please let the priest know after Mass.

Golf Outing - The Golf Outing originally scheduled for September 10, 2008 has been moved to October 23,
2008. It will still be held at Compass Pointe Golf Course with a 1:30 p.m. shot-gun start. Sign-ups begin

Religious Education: Registration for the School of Religion for Early Childhood and Elementary classes closed on
September 3 and will not reopen until September 15. If forms were not received by September 3, children in Early
Childhood and Elementary will miss the first class. We will contact any families whose forms are turned in late about where
to report for their 1st class.
Thanks to the wonderful response by our parishioners, all teaching and aide positions have been filled!

Becoming Catholic On Sunday, September 14, 2008, there will be an information session about the R.C.I.A., the
process for a non-Catholic adult who would like to become a Catholic. This is an information session only. There is no
obligation to attend the program. Please show our spirit of welcome by inviting anyone that you know who might be

Middle School Ice Cream Social & Games: MS students are invited to the Back-to-School Ice Cream Social & Games
night on Fri., Sept. 12, 6:30-8:30 pm. We’ll have games, contests, and Make-Your-Own ice cream sundaes! Admission is 2
canned goods! Sign up in the Gallery to make sure we have enough ice cream!
High School Crab Feast – High School students are invited to our Second Annual High School Crab Feast on Sun., Sept.
14, 1:30-4:00 pm. We’ll have crabs, hot dogs, burgers, desserts, and outdoor games. Cost is only $5 but you MUST sign
up by Sun., Sept. 7!
Bake Sale – Donation Needed! The Youth Group will be hosting a Bake Sale on Sept. 27-28 and we need
your help to make it a success! If you love to bake, we’d love to have you make a contribution to the Bake Sale
table. Please sign up at the Youth Group table in the Gallery. Proceeds from the sale will help to defray the
costs of the teens attending the Baltimore Youth Catholic Conference.

Instead of the regularly scheduled third Sunday Reclaim breakfast in September, we encourage you to come to the 12:15
Mass and join with us in the September 21 Parish Picnic. At the picnic, there will be great food, music, games for kids and

Parish Picnic - Sunday, September 21, 2008. The Annual Parish Picnic will take place on Sept. 21 after
the 12:15 p.m. Mass, from 1:15 – 5:00 p.m., on the church grounds. There’ll be music, entertainment, games
for children & adults, & one or two surprises. St. Bernadette will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, soft drinks, &
beer. The Knights of Columbus will grill, we’ll have music by our favorite DJ, & our HS youth will host crafts
for kids & games for all ages. You bring the side dishes, desserts, & comfortable lawn chairs. Call or email

This weekend is Hospitality Weekend. Everyone is invited to spend some time after Masses enjoying refreshments and
Lost and Found – There is a box under the coat rack, located across from the Sacristy, which contains items lost or found

The St. Bernadette Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast is coming up on September 14th. They will be serving a
variety of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. The price is $5 for adult, $3 for child, or $15 for
