SNOW MAKE-UP DAY: School will now be in session Friday, April 24, as a snow
make-up day.
STUDENT ABSENCES: Students must have a parent call 712-279-6064 if the student is
going to be absent or has been absent from school for any reason.
SENIORS JOSTENS CAP & GOWN ORDERS: The Jostens cap & gown order
packets for North High & West High are in the main office.
REMINDER TO STUDENTS: If you leave the building for any reason YOU MUST
sign out in a book in the main office and when you return YOU MUST sign back in the same
book in the main office.

If you have not turned in your manila registration card, please fill it out and return it as
soon as possible to Suzi in the main office.
SUGGESTION BOX: There is a suggestion box for sayings relating to respect and
responsibility under the marquee sign on the main floor (3rd floor) by the large glass display case
in the front hall. All students and staff are encouraged to submit suggestions and some of the
suggestions may be displayed on the marquee throughout the school year.
SCHOOL NEWSPAPER: For those of you who missed the School Newspaper
(W.H.E.N.), it has been posted on the Central Campus Website. You will need Adobe Acrobat
Reader to view it. Thanks to Mrs. Bielenberg and her class for developing the paper!!!! The

PENCILS: Central Campus pencils can be purchased in the main
office for $.15.
BREAKFAST: Breakfast is served daily in the Career Inn, 7:30-8:00 A.M. Menu prices
are posted in the Career Inn.
CENTRAL CAMPUS WEBSITE: Please take the opportunity to check out the Central
Campus Website at http://www.cc.sioux-city.k12.ia.us. Your suggestions are welcome by taking
the pop-up survey or contacting Steve or Linda in Room 317. The district web site is
http://www.siouxcityschools.org.
: District Student Fees are $37 and Central Campus Book Deposits are $25.
HY-VEE RECEIPTS: Please save Hy-Vee grocery, pharmacy, and catering receipts for the
Hy-Vee School Bucks Program. Participating Hy-Vee stores include all Sioux City and South
Sioux City stores. For every $100 spent, Central Campus will earn $1.00. This is an ongoing
program and will continue from year to year, so save those receipts. There will be a
Hy-Vee box in each classroom and in the mailroom where you can put your receipts. All money
received will be utilized for Central Campus students. Last year Central Campus received a
check in the amount of $363.24 from the Hy-Vee School Bucks program. Hy-Vee will no longer
accept receipts for gas, postage, and money orders.
LC CHILD CARE CENTER: The LC Child Care Center currently has morning and
afternoon openings. See Julie in Room 301, the Child Care Center, to register. Families need to
have the required forms completed and returned before the child can attend the center. If you are
aware of a student who is in need of this service, please let them know.
MONEY MATTERS: Students will only be able to get change before and after
school. The office will not be able to make change for any currency above a ten dollar bill.
OFFICE PHONE: The office phone is for emergency use only. Please make your riding
arrangements before you come to school. Students may use the phone by the English room with
teacher permission and supervision.
OLD NEWSPAPERS: Mrs. Pease’s Year 13 class is doing volunteer work for the
Humane Society collecting newspapers. A box for the newspapers will be placed in the Year 13
Room, #115. Thank you, Mrs. Pease and class.
POP TABS: Remember to save your pop tabs and large soup can tabs for the Ronald
McDonald Houses that are placed around Central Campus. The tabs are greatly appreciated.
STUDENT PARKING: See the map regarding parking at Central Campus. If
you park in any restricted parking area your vehicle will be towed away. The first eight spaces
in the Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot are reserved for church business only.

NO PARKING in the back parking lot at Orkins. Student’s cars will get towed!
TEEN PARENT SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS: Tuesdays in the Career Inn, 2nd
period. All pregnant & parenting students, both male and female are invited to attend.
