Taking the leading role, people management
• Spearheaded creative process for four-colour poster used to recruit aboriginal population for three
  consecutive censuses; poster was used widely in Ontario, the Maritimes, and parts of Western Canada

• Served as Art Director for DreamScapes, a monthly tabloid newspaper on world travel, produced for

Creator and presenter of the seminar Taking Up Space: Basic Lessons in Graphic Design. Its principal
focus is to look at documents from the reader’s perspective. Theoretical as well as practical tools for
effective design and layout are discussed. Diverse groups that have enjoyed this course include the
Toronto and Southwestern Ontario chapters of the Society for Technical Communication; the Ontario
Ministry of the Environment; the Toronto chapter of the Editors’ Association of Canada; and trade-
