CHAPTER OBJECTIVES
INFORMS UIC Student Chapter provides an extension of our national chapter mission
by enabling a supportive network of fellow students and concerned faculty. It is INFORMS
goal to help students learn more about their field and also to prepare them for their careers.
The organization offers weekly meetings with cooperate speakers discussing the current
trends in our diverse field and career opportunities offered at their companies. These meet-
ings provide an opportunity to get information, while ultimately allowing students to network
with possible future employers.
If you are an employer and would like to organize an information session about your company
or participate in the MIS/IDS career fairs, please email informs.uic@gmail.com

Students interested in joining INFORMS or who have any queries can also direct their queries
to the same email address.
INFORMS VISION
There are two dimensions to INFORMS vision. First, we believe that we are at an important
juncture in the development of our organization where we have an opportunity to use our
capabilities, strengths, resolute commitment and passion to take INFORMS where we all
should be proud of it. Second, INFORMS should continue on its path to becoming a truly
