Project Accountant

and management assistance in agribusiness, financial services, enterprise development,

and vibrant civil society. ACDI/VOCA currently has approximately 90 projects in 40
countries and total revenues of $140 million.
We are seeking a D.C.-based Project Accountant with the knowledge to process field
financial reports and prepare account analysis. Responsibilities are to analyze, review
and process monthly field reports received from designated USAID and USDA-funded
projects, prepare journal entries and record field project financial data, assist in the
annual audit process, audit schedules and provide client assistance. Bachelor’s degree
in accounting and/or finance, plus three years of experience required. Experience should
include strong accounting knowledge (GAAP), USAID, OMB Circular and subgrant
account maintenance. Must be able to work with complex data, define problems,
understand accounting software, and possess good communication skills and the ability
to work independently, as well as having proficiency in Word, Excel, QuickBooks, SUN
System and miscellaneous accounting software programs.
