Psalm 51: 6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
Isaiah 53:10-11 (NKJV)
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul,[a]and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
Mark 14:36
And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this
cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”
Luke 22:42
saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me;
nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”
Psalm 22:14-18 (NKJV)
14 I am poured out like water,
And all My bones are out of joint;
My heart is like wax;
It has melted within Me.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd,
And My tongue clings to My jaws;
You have brought Me to the dust of death.
16 For dogs have surrounded Me;
The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me.
They pierced[a] My hands and My feet;
17 I can count all My bones.
They look and stare at Me.
18 They divide My garments among them,
And for My clothing they cast lots.
Hebrews 8:4-5 (NKJV)
4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are
priests who offer the gifts according to the law; 5 who serve the copy
and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed
when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you
make all things according to the pattern shown you on the
mountain.”[a]
Psalm 40:7-8 (NKJV)
7 Then I said, “Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
8 I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart.”
Isaiah 50:6-7 (NKJV)
6 I gave My back to those who struck Me,
And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard;
I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.
7 “ For the Lord GOD will help Me;
Therefore I will not be disgraced;
Therefore I have set My face like a flint,
And I know that I will not be ashamed.
Luke 23:39-41 (NKJV)
39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him,
saying, “If You are the Christ,[a] save Yourself and us.”
40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even
fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we
indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this
Man has done nothing wrong.”
Revelation 7:10
and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God
who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out
to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went
out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land
of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and
Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for
the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
.......13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but
having seen them afar off were assured of them,[c] embraced them
and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14
For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a
homeland. 15 And truly if they had called to mind that country from
which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return.
16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore
God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city
for them.
Isaiah 7:14 (NKJV)
14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin
shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.[a]
Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam,
and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its
place. 22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He
made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23 And Adam said:
“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”
Philippians 3:18-21 (NKJV)
18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you
even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19
whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is
in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things. 20 For our
citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior,
the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may
be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which
He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.
Jeremiah 18:3-6 (NKJV)
3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making
something at the wheel. 4 And the vessel that he made of clay was
marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another
vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.
5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: 6 “O house of Israel,
can I not do with you as this potter?” says the LORD. “Look, as the clay
is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel!
the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made
in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled
the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name
ould bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
e glory of God the Father.
Matthew 5:23-26 (NKJV)
23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember
that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there
before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother,
and then come and offer your gift. 25 Agree with your adversary
quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver
you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be
thrown into prison. 26 Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means
get out of there till you have paid the last penny.
Genesis 14:22-23 (NKJV)
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to the
LORD, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that I will
take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take
anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich’—
2 Samuel 24:24
Then the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will surely buy it from you for
a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God with that
which costs me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the
oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
Matthew 8:20 (NKJV)
20 And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have
nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”
John 12:23-25 (NKJV)
23 But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son
of Man should be glorified. 24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a
grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it
dies, it produces much grain. 25 He who loves his life will lose it, and
he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
Genesis 39:5-6 (NKJV)
5 So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house
and all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for
Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was on all that he had in
the house and in the field. 6 Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s
hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he
ate.
Psalm 119:97-98 (NKJV)
97 Oh, how I love Your law!
It is my meditation all the day.
98 You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my
enemies;
For they are ever with me.
2 Corinthians 6:14-20 (NKJV)
14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what
fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion
has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or
what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement
has the temple of God with idols? For you[a] are the temple of the
living God. As God has said:
“ I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”
17 Therefore
“ Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”[c]
18 “ I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the LORD Almighty.”[d]
herefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: 18 When I

Matthew 24:45-51 (NKJV)
45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made
ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed
is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47
Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his
coming,’ [a] 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and
drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a
day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware
of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the
hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Hebrews 11:8-10 (NKJV)
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place
which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not
knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of
promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob,
the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city
which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Philippians 3:7-8 (NKJV)
7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for
Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the
knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss
of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ
Ephesians 4:13-16 (NKJV)
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the
Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the
fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to
and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery
of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking
the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the
head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit
together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective
working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body
for the edifying of itself in love.
Luke 1:28
And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored
one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
Psalm 37:7-9 (NKJV)
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the LORD,
They shall inherit the earth.
Romans 12:9-13 (NKJV)
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is
good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in
honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence,
fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in
tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the
needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
1 Samuel 7:2-4 (NKJV)
2 So it was that the ark remained in Kirjath Jearim a long time; it was
there twenty years. And all the house of Israel lamented after the
LORD.
3 Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to
the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the
Ashtoreths[a] from among you, and prepare your hearts for the LORD,
and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the
Philistines.” 4 So the children of Israel put away the Baals and the
Ashtoreths,[b] and served the LORD only.
Mark 12:29
Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O
Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
1 John 4
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether
they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the
world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses
that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that
does not confess that[a] Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of
God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was
coming, and is now already in the world.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NKJV)
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there
is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the
glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from
glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
John 4:31-34 (NKJV)
31 In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.”
32 But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”
33 Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought
Him anything to eat?”
34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me,
and to finish His work.
Luke 24:28 Then they drew near to the village where they were going,
and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But they
constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and
the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.
Philippians 2:14-16 (NKJV)
14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may
become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the
midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine
as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may
rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in
vain.
John 5:36
But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the
Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness
of Me, that the Father has sent Me.
Psalm 72:17-19 (NKJV)
17 His name shall endure forever;
His name shall continue as long as the sun.
And men shall be blessed in Him;
All nations shall call Him blessed.
18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel,
Who only does wondrous things!
19 And blessed be His glorious name forever!
And let the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen and Amen.
Proverbs 8:21-31 (NKJV)
22 “ The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way,
Before His works of old.
23 I have been established from everlasting,
From the beginning, before there was ever an earth.
24 When there were no depths I was brought forth,
When there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled,
Before the hills, I was brought forth;
26 While as yet He had not made the earth or the fields,
Or the primal dust of the world.
27 When He prepared the heavens, I was there,
When He drew a circle on the face of the deep,
28 When He established the clouds above,
When He strengthened the fountains of the deep,
29 When He assigned to the sea its limit,
So that the waters would not transgress His command,
When He marked out the foundations of the earth,
30 Then I was beside Him as a master craftsman;[a]
And I was daily His delight,
Rejoicing always before Him,
31 Rejoicing in His inhabited world,
And my delight was with the sons of men.
5 Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
6 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
1 Corinthians 3:6
I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.
Matthew 5
The Beatitudes
1 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He
was seated His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth
and taught them, saying:
3 “ Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are
commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what
was our duty to do.’”
Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and
love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the
other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
John 14:5-6 (NKJV)
5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going,
and how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through Me.
Psalm 45:10-12 (NKJV)
10 Listen, O daughter,
Consider and incline your ear;
Forget your own people also, and your father’s house;
11 So the King will greatly desire your beauty;
Because He is your Lord, worship Him.
12 And the daughter of Tyre will come with a gift;
The rich among the people will seek your favor.
Genesis 22:15 Then the Angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second
time out of heaven, 16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the
LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your
son, your only son— 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will
multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand
which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate
of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be
blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
Isaiah 53:7 (NKJV)
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
1 Samuel 30:6
Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him,
because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons
and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his
God.
Genesis 2: 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and
be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Romans 8:22-23 (NKJV)
22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth
pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the
firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves,
eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
Hebrews 8:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to

the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city
which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NKJV)
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the
faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and
not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
Genesis 17:20
And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and
will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget
twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.
Psalm 16:5-8
5 O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.
7 I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the LORD always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
1 Chronicles 28:9
“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve
Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches
all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek
Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you
off forever.
Hebrews 12:16
lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one
morsel of food sold his birthright.
Malachi 1:2-3 (New King James Version)
2 “ I have loved you,” says the LORD.
“ Yet you say, ‘In what way have You loved us?’
Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?”
Says the LORD.
“ Yet Jacob I have loved;
3 But Esau I have hated,
And laid waste his mountains and his heritage
For the jackals of the wilderness.”
Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23
For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the
church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the
church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in
everything.
Acts 5:29 (NKJV)
29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to
obey God rather than men.
1 Timothy 6:5-10 (NKJV)
5 useless wranglings[a] of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the
truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such
withdraw yourself.[b]
6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought
nothing into this world, and it is certain[c] we can carry nothing out. 8
And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9 But
those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into
many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and
perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for
which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and
pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Galatians 5:19-23 (NKJV)
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,[a]
fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred,
contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions,
dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,[b] drunkenness, revelries, and
the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time
past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom
of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there
is no law.
Psalm 23
1 The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-22 (NKJV)
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give
thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all
things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.
Deuteronomy 26:17-19 (NKJV)
17 Today you have proclaimed the LORD to be your God, and that you
will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and
His judgments, and that you will obey His voice. 18 Also today the
LORD has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised
you, that you should keep all His commandments, 19 and that He will
set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name,
and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the LORD your
God, just as He has spoken.”
1 Kings 11:34-36 (NKJV)
34 However I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, because
I have made him ruler all the days of his life for the sake of My servant
David, whom I chose because he kept My commandments and My
statutes. 35 But I will take the kingdom out of his son’s hand and give
it to you—ten tribes. 36 And to his son I will give one tribe, that My
servant David may always have a lamp before Me in Jerusalem, the
city which I have chosen for Myself, to put My name there.
Genesis 20:1 And Abraham journeyed from there to the South, and
dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, and stayed in Gerar. 2 Now Abraham
said of Sarah his wife, “She is my sister.”
3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him,
“Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have
taken, for she is a man’s wife.”
9 And Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, “What have you
done to us? How have I offended you, that you have brought on me
and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that
ought not to be done.”
11 And Abraham said, “Because I thought, surely the fear of God is not
in this place; and they will kill me on account of my wife.
8 So Abimelech rose early in the morning, called all his servants, and
told all these things in their hearing; and the men were very much
afraid.
14 Then Abimelech took sheep, oxen, and male and female servants,
and gave them to Abraham; and he restored Sarah his wife to him. 15
And Abimelech said, “See, my land is before you; dwell where it
pleases you.” 16 Then to Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your
brother a thousand pieces of silver; indeed this vindicates you[a]
before all who are with you and before everybody.”
Genesis 21:25 Then Abraham rebuked Abimelech because of a well of
water which Abimelech’s servants had seized.

“ If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”[a]
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Isaiah 53:2-5 (NKJV)
2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Genesis 21:22 And it came to pass at that time that Abimelech and
Phichol, the commander of his army, spoke to Abraham, saying, “God
is with you in all that you do.
23 Now therefore, swear to me by God that you will not deal falsely
with me, with my offspring, or with my posterity; but that according to
the kindness that I have done to you, you will do to me and to the land
in which you have dwelt.”
24 And Abraham said, “I will swear.”

4 So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him.
And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 Then
Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions
that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and
they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.
6 Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the
terebinth tree of Moreh.[a] And the Canaanites were then in the land.
Shechem
7a Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said,
7b “To your descendants I will give this land.”
7c And there he built an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.
8 And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he
pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he
built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD. 9 So
Abram journeyed, going on still toward the South.
Genesis 12:10 Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went
down to Egypt to dwell there, for the famine was severe in the land.
Genesis 13:1 Then Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all
that he had, and Lot with him, to the South.[a] 2 Abram was very rich
in livestock, in silver, and in gold. 3 And he went on his journey from
the South as far as Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the
beginning, between Bethel and Ai, 4 to the place of the altar which he
had made there at first. And there Abram called on the name of the
LORD.

Separation from Lot (Genenis 13:8)
Genesis 13:14a And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated
from him:
17 Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it
to you.”
14b “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you
are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; 15 for all the
land which you see I give to you and your descendants[b] forever.
16 And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if
a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also
could be numbered.
18 Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth
trees of Mamre,[c] which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the
LORD. Lot’s Captivity and Rescue (Genesis 14:1-17). Abram and
Melchizedek (Genesis 14:18-24).
Hebron
Genesis 15:1a After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram
in a vision, saying,
1b “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great
reward.”
4 And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This one
shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body
shall be your heir.” 5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look
now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number
them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”
6 And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for
righteousness.
7 Then He said to him, “I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of
the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.”
8 And he said, “Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?”
Genesis 15:9a So He said to him,
9b “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a
three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.”
18 On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying:
“To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to
the great river, the River Euphrates— 19 the Kenites, the Kenezzites,
the Kadmonites, 20 the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, 21 the
Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”
Suffering - Genesis 15:13 Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that
your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will
serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. 14 And also
the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out
with great possessions.
Fire power of God - Genesis 15:17 And it came to pass, when the sun
went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking
oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces.
In the process of receiving the promise, Abram waited on the Lord,
tarried in the place for the power of God to fall down, just as
Pentacost.
Abram takes Hagar as his concubine and Ishmael is born. Since then for
13 years the Lord does not speak to Abram again.
In that process even though the Bible does not say about Abram's
repentance, fore sure he learned that out of flesh comes nothing good.
From the strife between Sarai and Hagar since Ishmael's conception till
in the end he has to give up Ishmael and Hagar has to have caused him
regret and repentance. He does choose to obey the voice of God
through his wife.
Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD
appeared to Abram and said to him,
“I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. 9 And God said
to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your
descendants after you throughout their generations. 10 This is My
covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your
descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be
circumcised; 11 and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your
foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.
12 He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every
male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought
with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant. 13 He
who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money
must be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an
everlasting covenant. 14 And the uncircumcised male child, who is not
circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off
from his people; he has broken My covenant.”
2 And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply
you exceedingly.”
4 “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a
father of many nations. 5 No longer shall your name be called Abram,
but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many
nations. 6 I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations
of you, and kings shall come from you.
7 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your
descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting
covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. 8 Also I
give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a
stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will
be their God.”
23 So Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house
and all who were bought with his money, every male among the men
of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that
very same day, as God had said to him. 24 Abraham was ninety-nine
years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. 25 And
Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the
flesh of his foreskin. 26 That very same day Abraham was circumcised,
and his son Ishmael; 27 and all the men of his house, born in the house
or bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
Genesis 18: 1 Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of
Mamre,[a] as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day. 2
So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing
by him;
