Having an online business means you can avoid quite a few traditional start-up and ongoing
expenses. There is no need to spend money on office rent, a business phone, or snazzy office
furniture. You will not need a fax machine because you can scan documents and send them by
email. And most of the time you will probably create the document and then send it as an email
attachment. Stationary or business cards are not necessary either and that is another additional
savings.
Most people considering an online business already have Internet access and a computer, so
those expenses are not incremental to starting the online business. Your business is conducted
wherever you and your computer are located, so once again costs are covered. By now you
should be able to see the potential of starting a business online with very little initial costs or
ongoing monthly expenses. That is exciting!
You may have need of a business license depending on the laws of your community. Most Internet

gives your business a professional look with all your mailing.
Yes business start-up expenses with an online business are very reasonable these days. This is
why so many people today operate some type of home business with great success. Not to
