Discover the Magic of CruisePort Salem!
Founded in 1626, Salem, Massachusetts is one of New England’s richest
destinations. More than 400 years of American history exists today in
museums, historic sites, attractions, and the Salem Maritime National
Historic Site. Salem is a dynamic port to explore, and passengers will
encounter stories of America’s early settlement, the Salem Witch Trials
of 1692, and the glorious maritime era of the late 18th and early 19th
centuries. Today Salem’s heritage blends with galleries, boutiques
and excellent dining, creating a perfect shoreside excursion for every pas-
senger!
Salem’s cruise ship facilities at the Blaney Street Pier are a short walk to
all of Salem’s museums, attractions, shops and restaurants. Trolley and
pedicab services can be arranged to meet visiting vessels and provide tour
and shuttle services as needed.
As a port of call, Salem can be a completely customized experience
with scheduled stops and pre-arranged transportation, or an exciting
seaport for independent exploration. Destination Salem, the Office of
Tourism & Cultural Affairs, is available to recommend appropriate
shoreside excursions or provide contact information for local receptive
tour operators.
