Greeting Cards

1. Reduce waste:

a) Use electronic e-cards instead of paper cards.

b) If you purchase new cards, select ones made with recycled content.



2. Reuse for projects such as:

a) Cut up cards to use for gift tags or bookmarks.

b) Create new cards by cutting and pasting old card fronts onto blank cardstock.

c) Make children’s arts and crafts projects such as Christmas tree ornaments.



3. Donate to others for reuse in craft projects. Call first.

a) local greeting card crafters (drop off or mail cards)

b) preschool or child care center

c) church or synagogue

d) senior center



4. Donate to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children for recycling into “new” cards. Mail

greeting cards (any occasion) to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, Recycled Card

Program, 100 St. Jude’s St., Boulder City, NV 89005. Hallmark, Disney and

American Greeting cards are not accepted due to copyright issues. For more

information, call (877) 977-7572.



5. Recycle at curbside or drop-off with “mixed paper.”
