Costs are reduced if plants are grown for imaging only (disposed of after imaging).
The above pricing example applies to Australian customers receiving public-funding to undertake the project.

IMAGING (SMARTHOUSE PROJECTS ONLY)
Base costs include: watering, energy consumption, pot hire, soil, waste disposal, pest control, horticultural support and standard informatics services on experimental
design, imaging, and six months quarantined data storage.
Data storage: The Plant Accelerator will provide free data storage for six months. The customer can opt to take ownership of data storage (e.g. data will be sent to the
customer and deleted from The Plant Accelerator server), or request continued quarantined data storage at The Plant Accelerator at a cost based on the terabytes used
p.a. (to be advised).
Data quarantining:
The Plant Accelerator will provide free data quarantining for six months, after which data may become public domain. An extension of data quarantining will attract a
Confidentiality Fee , e.g. a percentage based on the project cost (not applicable to commercial customers).
Pricing: The category for customer pricing (for-profit, not-for-profit) is based on the source of funding for the project. Should funding be received from both
commercial and non-commercial sources, the price will be adjusted to reflect the percentages of the relevant funding sources.
Should the experimental set-up compromise other plants (e.g. chemical treatment of your plants will not allow other plants to be housed in the Smarthouse),
additional costs may apply.
Standard Informatics Services include:
Consultation on experimental design, data processing, expected analysis outcomes.
Routine processing of raw measurement data (RGB, FIR, NIR, Fluorescence images) including algorithm design, colour classification, area measurement, morphological
measurement, basic statistics, graphing of curves.
Collation and presentation to the customer of raw and processed data within 4 weeks following the date of the last acquired measurement.
Confidential access and archival storage of raw measurement and processed data for six months from the date of the last acquired measurement in accordance with
the Quarantined Data Storage Policy (30 days notice of expiry will be given).
Provision of raw and processed data on appropriate media.
Placement of data in the public domain (in accordance with the Quarantined Data Storage Policy).
Extended informatics services are available upon consultation with Plant Accelerator staff.
