Why are you spending money on lead lists that are sold and resold time and time again? Tired of

A quick overview of blog marketing is a good place to start today. In the future we will go over the

other methods. Your blog is the main hub for your business marketing. It is where people go to get

to know you a little better before they talk to you. They also get to know you as a leader and how

you market. It is an easy way to produce leads as you provide valuable content people will want to

find out more about what you do.



Hosting your own blog is the preferred method. All you need to get started is a domain name and

a hosting service such as HostGator. You will set up a WordPress.org site through your HostGator

service. You can also set up a free hosted blog through WordPress.com or Blogger.com. But you

will not have the freedom and flexibility to make your blog optimized for the search engines such

as Google.



It won't take you very long at all to get your blog up and running. Once it is published for the world

to see, you will want to post content every day or every other day. Just be sure that they are

relevant and keyword rich without cramming in the keywords. When you have good content, it

won't be long before you are generating leads.



Some important elements to include on your blog are: an opt-in form, ways for the reader to

connect with you, a way to subscribe to your blog and ways for the reader to share your content.

Let's have a look at each one of these elements.



1. Opt-in Form



An opt-in form is simply that. This is where your prospect is able to subscribe to your email list.

Here you can capture their information: name, email and phone number. To make your opt-in form

more appealing, give away something of value: a video training series, an e-book, audio training or

a free marketing course. Make sure your Autoresponder is set up to send out the free gift and has

a series of follow up letters.



2. Connect With Me



The next thing you need to have on your blog is a place from people to connect with your social

networking site: Facebook, Twitter, MySpace just to name a few. You want to make it easy for

your readers to connect with you by adding a section of icons they can click on. Connecting with

you on social networks allows them more ways to get to know you and receive more information

from you.



3. RSS Feed



Next, it is important to have your RSS Feed set up for people to subscribe to your blog. RSS

stands for Really Simple Syndication. It helps your readers receive updates whenever you make a

new post. This will keep your readers coming back to your blog.



4. Share Your Site



The last element you want to make sure you incorporate in your blog has a few components to

it.There is a few different components the last blog element. People need to be able to share your

site. There are widgets and plugins that will make this easier. They are a Facebook Like button,

TweetMeMe and Sociable.



Once you get your blog built and start posting article, you will need to start promoting your blog on

forums and other places online. This online promotion in social sites is like sending out an

invitation to a party. Keep in mind that blogging is just ONE of the awesome ways to market your

business online. But the best thing about social sites and other marketing techniques is that they

should all work together to drive traffic back to your blog.



Effective blog marketing means NO more buying expensive lead list and talking to negative

people. Best of all, with the internet, what happens on the internet will stay there! No longer are

people relegated to hotel meeting, cold calling and the 3 feet rule. Effective online marketing is

giving people an MLM marketing advantage.



There are so many ways you can market online. Instead of attempting multiple marketing efforts,

in the beginning you want to focus on one or two strategies. As you become more accomplished,

you can add a few more strategies at a time.



Now that you know what an asset blog marketing is to your business, go ahead and build your
