1. Reuse stained or heavily damaged clothing for other purposes such as rags,
cleaning cloths, craft projects, braided dog toys, etc.

2. Donate clean, usable clothing for reuse:
a) Invite friends or relatives over for a clothes swap (swap party ideas).
b) Drop off at a local thrift store or charity.
c) Drop off at an Eagle Recycling donation bin.
d) Drop off at a Suncoast Textile Recycling donation bin.
e) Use Freecycle—Sign up for a local group (Clearwater, Clearwater Beach,
North Pinellas, Largo, or St. Petersburg), and list your clothing items.
f) Use CraigsList Free Stuff—Select “post” to list your clothing items.
g) Use free newspaper ads—St. Petersburg Times (3 lines) or Tampa Bay
Newspapers (15 words).

3. Fundraising: Schools, churches, nonprofits, or mobile home parks can raise
money by collecting clothing. Contact one of the following organizations to
request a donation bin:
a) Goodwill Industries: 523-1512, ext. 1440 or e-mail
b) Suncoast Textile Recycling: 515-0220 or e-mail
c) Eagle Recycling: 813-835-9600 or e-mail

4. Sell through a yard sale, Internet, CraigsList For Sale, or a free newspaper ad in
the St. Petersburg Times (3-line limit).

5. Sell to a consignment or resale store. Some pay cash immediately, but most pay
after an item is sold. The following accept clean, usable clothing in good
condition. CALL FIRST:
