Elections Supervisor
SALARY: $4,497.33 - $6,041.40 Monthly

SUMMARY:
The County Clerks' Office is responsible for conducting elections and voting, maintaining official
records, and coordinating the Board of Property Tax Appeals. This position works in coordination
with the County Clerk to supervise technical and administrative activities in the County Clerks'
Office. Duties include but are not limited to, overseeing and coordinating the election process;
overseeing administration of billings, deposits, and accounts payables/receivables; working with
the County Information Technology Department and vendors to develop, implement and
maintain computer equipment, programs and database files for voter registration, election
management, district maps and election results; coordinating additional on-call staff during
elections; and working cooperatively with Recording to maintain and update on-line information,
and assists in operations as needed to meet department goals, objectives, and deadlines.
Performs other duties as required.
COMPENSATION:
$4,497.33 - $6,041.40 per month for a 172.67 hour work month, salary normally starts at the
first step. Excellent County benefit package when eligible. Position is available immediately.
This position is required to work additional hours and some weekends during elections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in business, office administration or related field and three (3) years of
progressively responsible experience, which includes two (2) years of supervisory experience;
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in Elections
preferred.
Working knowledge of record keeping principles and practices; knowledge of analytical and
research methods, and marketing principles; knowledge and skill in management and
supervision principles and practices; working knowledge of budgeting and fiscal administration,
report preparation, contract management and administration practices; and working knowledge
of strategic planning and program/project management, principles, and techniques.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, the public, and
other organizations; ability to understand applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and
regulations; ability to conduct outreach activities; ability to organize, prioritize, and identify
potential enhancements or improvements in work flow processes; ability to motivate and
support staff in providing excellent customer service; ability to be flexible to meet the needs of
the department; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; and the ability
to operate a variety of general office equipment.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon Driver's License within 30 days of hire date. The
employment offer will be contingent upon an acceptable and verifiable driver's license and
driving history.
Final candidate selected for position will be required to pass a drug screening and thorough
employment and criminal history investigation.
