1. Purpose
This method of statement covers the in-site installations of Building Management
system as defined in the General Specification.
2. Scope of Work
This procedure will define the method to be used to ensure that the Building
Management system, on-site assembly, final connection and workmanship are
acceptable, correct, safe and conforms the Contract Documents and Specification.
3. Responsible Personnel on Site
3.1. Construction Manager
3.2. Electrical Field Engineers
3.3. Safety Officer
3.4. QA/QC Engineer
3.5. Electrical Supervisors
4. Delivery, Storage, and Handling
4.1 Deliver equipment in fully enclosed vans after specified environmental
conditions have been permanently established in spaces where equipment is
to be placed.
4.2 Unload the Building management system panels to the designated unloading area. Use
fork lift to unload self standing panels.
4.3 Store equipment in spaces with non condensing environments that are
controlled within manufacturer’s ambient tolerances for non operating
equipment.
4.4 Ensure that the Panels are stored in dry and clean locations.

4.5 Make sure that the storage area is safe.
5. Pre-Installation
5.1 All materials and documentation relevant to this particular section of works shall be
checked prior to installation.
5.2 Ensure that the location where the panels were installed are accessible, clean and free
of debris and foreign materials and suitable for installations.
6. Installation
6.1 Install systems according to manufacturer's printed instructions.
6.2 Maintaining minimum working space at equipment according to
manufacturer's shop drawings.
6.3 Connections: Interconnect system components. Make connections to
circuits according to manufacturer's wiring diagrams and as indicated.
6.4 Manufacturer's Field Services: Arrange for the services of a factory-
authorized service representative to supervise the connection, tests,
and adjustment of the unit.
6.5 Upon completion of installation, inspect system components. Remove
paint splatters and other spots, dirt, and debris. Repair scratches and
marks of finish to match original finish. Clean components internally
using methods and materials recommended by manufacturer.
6.6 Raise Request for Inspection for BMS installation.

7.2 Approved Material Submittals for BMS
