Octane Underwriting launched
A new Underwriting Agency has been launched on 1st September targeting non-standard UK motor
business. Octane Underwriting Limited offers products exclusively through brokers and an extensive
range of non-standard motor business will be accommodated. Commercial vehicle risks will include
catering vans, skip hire and small haulage firms. Private Car facilities include imports, kit cars,
performance cars and modified vehicles. Octane can also offer a market for convicted drivers, Self
Drive Hire fleets, taxi risks, limousines, chauffeur business and couriers.
The Managing Director of Octane is Dave Murray, previously Underwriting Director of Highway and
the business development contact is Mark Wiggins, formerly of Tradex. The authorised insurer is
Inter Hannover and Octane brokers can obtain quotes, issue cover and print documents on the web-
