Danny Ray Adams-Geddie Rockville, Virginia
Dan attended St. Benedict Elementary School for three years and then transferred to Pinchbeck Elementary. He completed middle
school at Mills Godwin and proceeded to Godwin High School. During his sophomore year he decided he wanted to try home-
schooling. He has been homeschooled ever since. He enjoys the flexibility of the school, which allows him time for working, family
events, playing basketball and spending time on Lake Gaston fishing and boating. He plans to continue his education in the fall.
Corey Rebekah Allen Gloucester, Virginia
I have been homeschooled for five years. I have been active in my church and youth group. I have also enjoyed my experiences
as a volunteer at such places as the Virginia Living Museum, the Humane Society, the church nursery, Community Bible Study
nursery, and vacation Bible school. I have enjoyed being in a “Keepers of the Home” group where I am still learning to be a proper
helpmeet and godly woman. In my free time, I enjoy computer games, helping my mother in our home, arts and crafts, and travel-
ing. My parents have taught me that learning is a life-long process, so now I am learning Spanish. I am excited to see what God
has planned for my future.
Hannah Rose Allen Raleigh, North Carolina
Seven enriching years of Christ-centered homeschooling have enabled me to enjoy running, participating in theatrical produc-
tions, playing the violin, and writing, as well as spending time with my family. In the fall, as a Bryan College student, with the goal
of pursuing a career in psychology, my top priority will continue to be to live as a servant of Jesus. With His guidance, becoming
the wife and mother He created me to be, all of life’s experiences will be to strengthen me for His service in this life and to live
eternally with Him.
Brandi Nicole Anderson Hampton, Virginia

completing 10 years of biblically-grounded curriculum and learning more than 700 Bible verses. Over the next four years I plan
to attend Liberty University and work with urban missions in Charlotte, North Carolina.

of life. Truly I have the passion to lead and be an example for my peers.

all over this country and three continents. The world is my classroom. I studied theater in London, acting in Georgia, service in
Tennessee and life everywhere. I altered my opponent’s jump shots on homeschool basketball teams. I re-enacted a 17th century
sharecropper, and talked politics with Senator Rick Santorum. I was a founding member of the homeschool AIM Robotics team
and NV Key Club. After graduation, I will continue to learn from life, and I look forward to shaping my classroom.
Morgen Kelly Creighton Stony Creek, Virginia
I have been lucky enough to experience three types of schooling: public school, private school, and homeschool. Homeschooling
has been a blessing to me because I can work at my own pace and it allows me to pursue my favorite activities: theater, horseback
riding and softball. Besides these, I’ve also had extra time to give to the church, acting as crucifer at funerals on school days. This
flexibility also allows me to work to earn money for college. In the fall I will be attending Richard Bland College and will later
attend William and Mary.

36 on the science portion of the ACT.

leaving for BYU-Idaho in the winter to major in art, on the Lord’s commission. In my junior year, I will have the opportunity to
study in Jerusalem for four months and experience firsthand the places that I wish to portray through art. I love people, writing,
music, and theology. I express my inadequate love and appreciation for every giant who has carried me on his shoulders. I pray
that someday I will become the beautiful person you see in me.
Stephen Donald Croll Richmond, Virginia
Having three older brothers made me strong! They taught me life is made up of risks...so we bungee jumped in Thailand, plunged
off a 50-foot cliff into the canal, tackled the rope swing at the lake, and dropped into the James River from 100 feet. We’ve home-
schooled almost all my life, played basketball in the yard and for CVHA, even owned a business together. I love to cook and I’ll
be a chef. Remember, “You never really know how tough you are until you have hit rock bottom.” Thanks to the strongest people
I know…Mops and Pops. Love you.

school was spending three weeks in South Africa. I will return to Richard Bland College in the fall to complete my associate of
arts degree. I plan on pursuing a degree in psychology or neonatology.

I have been homeschooled for two years, which has allowed me to enrich my studies by being enrolled in high school and in col-
lege simultaneously. My 11 college credits and 3.85 GPA have helped me gain acceptance into Old Dominion University’s Honors

all who have made homeschooling possible!

choice. One of my favorite things is to learn new words. I carry either a dictionary or thesaurus with me most places.
Brett David Driver Bumpass, Virginia
I have only been homeschooled my senior year, but I feel that it has been a wonderful experience. My parents and I were not satis-
fied with my education in the public school system and so that is why I began homeschooling. It is something I wish I had begun
earlier in my school years. I am still not sure what I want to do when I graduate. I am exploring many options. I thank my parents
for giving me the opportunity to be homeschooled.
Anthony Michael Durrette Varina, Virginia
I am not a homegrown homeschool student. Our family came from a private school and started homeschooling after my seventh-
grade year. Through homeschooling I have had the opportunity to participate in a greater range of activities such as First Lego
League Robotics, FLL mentoring, FIRST Robotics, and most importantly FOOTBALL! Along with school, I work part time to pay

graduate at sixteen. My hobbies include cooking and taking care of children. Proverbs 3:5-6
Jared Marcus Hanks Matoaca, Virginia
I have been homeschooled for eight years! I played soccer and basketball for the homeschool team, and played the trumpet in the
homeschool band. Homeschooling has allowed me to play my favorite sport, golf, which would have been impossible in a public
school. I am unsure of what I am going to do about college, but I have been looking at schools that have a sports management/
sports teaching program, as I would like to play golf professionally or teach golf in the future. I know that God has a plan for me
and I am willing to do what He wants me to do.

with my friends. I will be attending Franciscan University of Steubenville in the fall, but am still undecided on a major.

This fall I plan to attend community college to work toward a two-year degree. I haven’t yet decided what my course of study
will be because there are so many different things that interest me. In a few years I plan to enlist in the U.S. military to serve my
country and, hopefully, to travel the world. Romans 10:13

program. This year I received the Awana Citation Award. I’ve attended group co-ops for writing and chemistry. In the FATHOM
Band (Psalm 145:3), I played guitar and performed in productions like “Uncle Phil’s Diner.” In the future, I look forward to pursu-

I have been very lucky to be homeschooled this year. I have learned many very important lessons about making choices in life.
Some choices I made were poor and caused me embarrassment as well as costing me money. However, I made an important deci-

year, work full time, and attend J. Sargeant Reynold Community College part time. I am excited about the opportunities ahead of
me and hope to make my family very proud.

Drawing portraits, mounting deer, canoeing down the Rappahannock, designing rooms and furniture, amongst other pursuits is
how I spend my time. I love the outdoors and doing artistic projects. During the past twelve years of dedicated homeschooling as
fifth-born of seven, I’ve also been occupied as chief groundskeeper, handyman, and secondary auto mechanic to my dad. Usually
I snatch spare moments to play my guitar, which I play with the worship team on Sundays. Making a living, I’ve been told, might
come in handy; thus, I’m I looking into becoming an environmental/soil scientist.

teaching and my teachers were nice. My interests included worship dance and I also enjoyed playing basketball. Homeschool was
very structured; there were a lot of outdoor activities and projects that were fun to do. I learned how to be a good father and how
to grow in the Lord while reading and learning the Bible.
