Important SEMS Text Book Information
“I am responsible for myself” If you will be bringing your text book to school regularly, you must cover it with a book cover that you make or purchase. You can access your library/textbook account at www.sanelijomiddle.org /departments/library/library catalog/login (ID#=user name, last name=password), click on my info tab. We cannot check out double sets of textbooks to students. You are welcome to purchase new or used textbooks for your multiple household needs. The library webpage at www.sanelijomiddle.org /departments/library, provides a list of the textbook titles and a link to the Amazon textbook store. You will be asked to return your text books at the end of the year. Be prepared to return them promptly. Outstanding accounts follow you from grade to grade all the way through High School. Your account must be clear in order to walk at H.S. graduation. Never loan or borrow text books. If you lose a text book, you must pay the replacement fine. Most textbooks cost between $60 and $85. If you damage a textbook, you may be asked to pay a fine, depending on the damage. If it is still usable, the fine is $10. If it is not usable, the fine is the full price of the book. Peeling off a text book barcode label is considered damage and will result in a $10 fine. If you have dropped and/or added a class you must come to the library ASAP to return your book and/or checkout a book. Always keep your text book in your backpack if you travel with it. If you borrow a text book from an office, you must return it to that office.
