This was an FOIA request to ICE in which I wanted to obtain a Treasury Dept investigation from 1987 into a known cult called 'Finders.' I already have a copy of the report. I made the request to see what the government would do since the cult is a known CIA asset. The CIA originally became involved with the 1987 investigation, and when that happened the investigation 'disappeared.' The response from ICE was 'No Records Found.' However, I received a letter a couple of days after that one, but written a few days before, in which an admission to the existence of records was disclosed and a 10 day extension for a more thorough search was invoked. In other words, they accidentally admitted to the records, and had to lie about it later.
