Mariner of the Seas Cruise Ship

Mariner of the Seas is a large cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International. It is a member of the
Voyager Class of ships that includes four other ships. Voyager Class ships are smaller than those of the
newer Freedom Class but still effectively use space so as not to make passengers feel crowded.

Mariner of the Seas transports passengers to cruise destinations in North America and Mexico. Voyager
Class ships feature enhanced amenities, such as ice skating rinks, and claim the largest space per guest
compared to the entire cruise industry. The Mariner of the Seas also has specialized dining options that
include name-brand restaurants.

The primary departure port for Mariner of the Seas is Los Angeles, California. The ship sails to destinations
along the Pacific coast and the Mexican Riviera in two separate cruise itineraries. Cruises to the Mexican
Riviera include stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. Pacific coast cruises stop in San
Francisco, Seattle and Victoria, British Columbia. Both of the itineraries to the Mexican Riviera and the
coastal Pacific span seven nights.

Mariner of the Seas has amenities for virtually every passenger. Mini-golf, a casino, both inline and ice
skating, a rock-climbing wall, basketball court, spa and fitness center, wine bar and clubs for both teens and
adults are all found on board. In addition to being a vacation cruise ship, Mariner of the Seas also can
accommodate conferences. Meeting spaces and reception areas are available with a boardroom and
professional presentation rooms that feature technology equipment for audio-visual presentations.

The vessel is 1,020 feet long, 157.5 feet wide, weighs 138,000 tons and has a cruising speed of 22 knots. It
has a capacity of 3,114 passengers in 1,557 rooms. Conference facilities can hold up to 400 people.
Individual room sizes vary between 150 square feet in an interior stateroom to more than 500 square feet in
a two-bedroom family suite. There are five restaurants and 16 elevators.

Time Frame

Mariner of the Seas and Royal Caribbean adhere to the industry standard of peak cruising dates and
availability. Cruises depart multiple times every month. Since Mariner of the Seas specializes in seven-night
cruises, it is able to depart on a weekly basis with a quick turn-around. Cruises during peak times in cooler
months are more expensive than cruises during the summer, but Royal Caribbean offers discounts as an
incentive to purchase a cruise close to the embarkation date.
