The multiple RFs and RAs will be involved in A*Star funded
Job Description leading edge research on fabrication of functional fluorescent
semiconductor nanoparticles (or quantum dots, QDs) that are
sensitive and specific to biologically relevant reactive oxygen
species (ROS), including hydrogen peroxide, nitric oxide, and
peroxynitrite etc). They will also explore the application of the
novel QDs in quantifying and tracking the ROS in cells and
organelles where the ROS play important role in oxidative stress
and signaling. An attractive remuneration package that
commensurate with qualifications will be offered.
For RF positions, the candidate should possess a PhD degree in
chemistry related discipline from a reputable University and have
strong expertise and interests in one or more of these areas:
chemical synthesis, characterization, and surface modification of
nanoparticles particularly quantum dots, fluorescence spectroscopy
and imaging. Strong transition metal chemistry and / or analytical

chemistry background is a plus.
For RA positions, the candidate should possess Bachelor’s Degree
with first class or 2nd upper honours or MS degree in chemistry,
biology, life sciences, bioengineering, or materials science and
engineering. Experience in cell-line based research is a plus.
Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent resident will be
preferably considered.
