My passions are challenging children and the adults in their lives. With
love and respect, I’ll help you strengthen children from the inside by
teaching them where the limits and the successes are!
I draw on my Master’s Degree in School Psychology, my experience as a School
Psychologist, University Psychology Instructor, and Children’s Services Coordinator, and
as a parent of a challenging child to empower you to bring out the very best in intense
children! I owe my son Jordan an enormous debt of gratitude for all he taught me about
loving a sensitive, active child, and my other two sons, Ben and Jacob, for their vital roles
in teaching me to be a parent to their uniqueness, as well.

My book on wireless security was used as a training tool for new
installers. It helped grow residential sales of wireless security systems
during the 90s. It was instrumental in getting me a consulting job with the
Learning Channel, the broadcasts of which helped us launch a new
product. After eight years first as a marketing copywriter, then marketing
communications manager, and finally director of marketing
communications, I started Essential Copy, a marketing communications

company. The book established my credibility with clients because it immediately conveyed my
expertise. It also helped shape my business partnership with the Beaver’s Pond Group, where I
now hold an executive position.
If you’re not interested in the publishing business, a book establishes credibility anyway, because
a book is more than words on a page:
• At a glance it displays the depth of your knowledge.
• It represents your sustained focus on a large-scale project.
• It concretely demonstrates your attention to detail.
• If the position or engagement you’re seeking demands that you be a team player, getting
a book published is an excellent example of a complex, collaborative effort that requires
input from several disciplines.
• If the opportunity demands individual initiative, the book demonstrates perseverance and
dedication. Nobody makes anyone write a book. As the author, you are either driven to
produce the book or it doesn’t happen.
