                      ENGINEERING AND GEOSCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP

With the future of Engineering and Geoscience students in mind, BC HYDRO and APEGBC have
united efforts to offer the BC Hydro/APEGBC Engineering and Geoscience Scholarship. These
scholarships, which are offered to 4th year engineering and geoscience students, focus on
encouraging students to continue with their goal of becoming professional engineers or
geoscientists. In order to qualify for one of these scholarships, you must have completed your
third year of engineering or geoscience by August 31, 2011. Also, you must be a resident of
British Columbia to be eligible for this scholarship. Previously successful applicants who still
qualify as 4th year students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

A total of 15 scholarships, each valued at $1500, will be awarded to deserving male and female
student applicants from the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, University of
Victoria and British Columbia Institute of Technology. Students from all engineering and
geoscience disciplines may apply.

Scholarship selection will be based on academic standing, professional or community
involvement, a written statement, and the students resume.
