The annual cost for a boy in cub scouts for a year in Pack 54 is:

$65.00: Pack Dues (that’s $5.42 per month!)

$16.00: Boys Life magazine subscription through December 2010 (optional)

$ 3.40: Registration fee for new scouts

$84.40 (with Boys Life subscription)

-OR-

$68.40 (without Boys Life subscription)

Remember, your scout has the opportunity to pay some or all of these fees by participating in our annual

popcorn sale!

The Pack fee includes all of the following:

 All scouting awards, patches, and belt loops  Pack administration costs

 Raingutter Regatta boat kit and race  Insurance at scouting activities

 Pinewood Derby car kit and race  Blue & Gold Banquet

 Refreshments at monthly pack meetings  Books & training for leaders

Some items not covered by the Pack Dues are uniform and book (estimated cost is roughly $50 for both). Some

activities may require an additional fee, but these activities are typically optional and the fees are typically nominal.

We will never deny any boy the opportunity to participate in any activity, so if you are concerned about the

financial aspects of scouting please talk to one of our leaders. We will absolutely work with you to get your boy

involved.

When do I pay?

The new scout registration fee and Boys Life subscription fee (if desired) must be paid upon registering your boy in

Cub Scouts. Please make checks payable to ‘Pack 54’.

Dues may be paid in full at the start of the year, or they may be paid in two installments as follows. The first $30 is

due by September 15. The second $30 is due by November 17. Any credit earned through popcorn sales will be

tallied and applied before the second payment is due. Refunds will be given to reimburse the first payment if

necessary.

Loveland planting trees, pulling weeds, and generally helping to keep our area’s

camping facilities in top shape.

holiday season by helping to bring some Christmas cheer into the lives of some

of our area’s seniors.

January 30 Pinewood Derby: You and your scout work together to build and race a car (kit

Force Base near Dayton and see all sorts of aircraft from the Wright Brothers to

the space shuttle!
