GATOR ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT ALONG WITH SAAC

HOLDING TOY DRIVE

San Francisco, Calif..--- San Francisco State University Gators’ Department of Athletics

along with the Gator Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is holding a Toy Drive from

today until Wednesday, December 19. After the 19th, the toys will be given to patients of

the UCSF Children’s Hospital in San Francisco.

Toys can be dropped off on the campus of SF State in Gym 208 or 203. They

also dropped off this Saturday, December 8, when the Gators’ men’s basketball team host

Pacific Union College at 7pm in SF State’s Main Gymnasium.

Toy Donation Guidelines________________________________

These guidelines and suggestions ensure the appropriateness and safety issues regarding toy

donations. Please consider these issues when choosing items for donation.



* Because of infection control issues, toys should be new.

* Please do not wrap gifts, as we will have to unwrap them ourselves to determine

appropriateness for children.

* Stuffed animals must be new. They must be filled with solid or shredded foam. Avoid animals

with small detachable pieces, which may be swallowed.

* No weapons or violent games of any kind, please.

* Any glue, paint, markers or crayons must be non-toxic.
