Training is a procedure of learning a series of programmed behaviour.

Actually training is the application of knowledge which helps people to become aware

about rules and procedures. due to training improvement occurs in the

performance of employees .it is due to training which prepares employees for

the future jobs. Training changes the behavior of employees and makes them

enable to do their jobs better .training helps employees in various ways as it

increases their technique their efficiency.





Importance of training: the un trained employees are unable to increase the

quality and quantity of output. Usually it increases not only the quantity but also

quality of output. When the environment of a business changes it is then the training

which helps it to face challenges in an efficient manner. With the help of training

these challenges can be handled easily.

There is a lot of supervision needed for untrained employees as compared to trained

employees because trained employees are aware about their jobs. They know all about

their jobs.

Training leads the employees in various ways :as it satisfies them about their jobs

which they do. It also increases their willingness towards jobs or makes their morale

high. It is because of training the employees use equipments and materials in a better

way and thus simultaneously wastage and spoilage are reduced.

Training reduces la bour turnover and absenteeism.

Organization achieves competitive growth only when there the work is handled by

trained employees nevertheless it is difficult for organization to achieve this growth

by untrained employees.



Due to the training the employees can handle the equipments and machines easily

which ultimately results in increase in output. Organizations must invest funds on

employees for the purpose of training. Organizations must invest on training that can

help employees in knowing the policies procedures and rules related to their jobs.

Training should increase the technical skills of employees .the importance of training

can be seen in those organizations which have achieved competitive growth because

they give great importance to the training to their employees.

Types of training: there are various types of training giving to employees.

1. induction training: this type of training is given to new employees. tit is the

induction training by which employees gain confidence. the new employees

are introduced about their job situation ,informed about the rules working

conditions .induction training is nessasary for new starters . due to this training

the employees get adjust very quickly . the new employees are also maked

aware about what the organizational missions , goals values and rules. Proper

induction training is actually a legal requirement. Employers have a formal

duty to provide relevant information,training related to health and safety .

induction training helps new employees in personal adjustment.





2. : job instruction training : job instruction training increases the knowledge of

worker about the job which he is doing or working on it.this type of training

helps in improving the performance and efficiency . The main purpose of this

type of training is to develop the skills in the employee.



3.promotional training: in this type of training emplyees are promoted so as toenable

them to handle new responsibilities. This type of training is given to already existing

employees. In this training the employeesare promoted to the higher level vacancies.

4. refresher training : as we know that the employees forget some methods with the

passage of time. Techonology and techniques of management develop day by day as a

result previos methods become out of date.that is why refresher training is given to

those employees.



5. apprenticeship training : it is widely used in several companys
