Provisional Statements and Eligibility Reports
Purpose
To notify schools that Provisional Statements and Eligibility Reports have now been posted to the Schools’ secure website. QSA will not be distributing hard copies. Schools and students should check the information on these statements and reports to ensure the accuracy of Student Learning Accounts at this stage.
Background
The QSA is continuing the practice of providing Provisional Statements to all Year 12 students in schools. Eligibility Reports are also provided to all Queensland senior schools to check student eligibility for the range of options contained in the Student Education Profile. These should be considered in conjunction with the Provisional Statement to provide maximum information and assistance for schools and students. Schools should print and distribute Provisional Statements to all Year 12 students for checking of reported enrolments and demographic details. Each Provisional Statement has clear instructions attached. Explanatory notes will accompany the Provisional Statements to assist schools and students.
Information
It is very important that all details recorded for certification are current and accurate. Any inaccuracies in enrolments not reported to QSA could result in a student not receiving a QCE, Senior Statement, Statement of Results, QCIA or Tertiary Entrance Statement. Anomalies can only be corrected by the relevant learning provider. Schools must not report learning for which they are not the provider. Schools should also note the following: • If the school has not received a Provisional Statement for any enrolled student then the student should check their Student Learning Account via the Career Information Service (CIS) website. They will need their Learner Unique Identifier (LUI) and password. • Details in the Student Learning Account and SDCS must coincide exactly in order for data to be transferred from SDCS to SLIMS. • Contributing Studies from interstate should appear as entered by schools on SDCS. • Contributing international studies where the student has received a letter of approval from QSA, should appear on these Provisional Statements. • Any approved relaxation of completed core requirements will not appear on these Provisional Statements.

What you need to do
All teachers and senior students should be actively involved in checking the Provisional Statements and note any inaccuracies or anomalies. The Eligibility Report should be thoroughly checked for each student in Year 12 and any inaccuracies investigated and corrected as per the Explanatory notes. If, after following the directions, an issue cannot be resolved, it should be reported to the QSA on email to qce@qsa.qld.edu.au with a full explanation of the issue and what steps have been taken to try to resolve it.
