external examiners for taught programmes and modules.
Terms of Reference
Statutes Section 19 as at 1 August 2009 (Ordinance 15 subject to Privy Council
approval on 15 October 2009)
Mode of Operation
Senate will support equality of opportunity and good relations between staff
and students whatever their race, gender, disability, sexual orientation,
religion and belief, age or socio-economic background. This support will
include participating in university activities, such as equalities monitoring,
impact assessment and other measures as appropriate, in line with the
University’s legal obligations.
Senate must meet at least 3 times per academic year.
Senate should meet at least 14 days before Council.
