with its subsidiary Indiana-Kentucky Electric
Corporation (IKEC) is engaged in the generation
of power in the Ohio River Valley region. The
companies were formed through investor-owned
utilities and currently operate two coal-fired

capacity. OVEC, AEC (Atomic Energy
Commission) and OVEC's owners or sponsoring
companies signed new power agreements to
guarantee the availability of the AEC's
necessary power requirements. The company
operates Kyger Creek Plant at Cheshire, Ohio
and IKEC operates Clifty Creek Plant at
Madison, Indiana.It operates two coal-fired
plants with collectively about 2,400 MW of
generating capacity.OVEC is headquartered in
