MADISON, Wis.-His Royal Highness The Prince of Asturias, Felipe de Borbón y
Grecia, will welcome attendees of this year's World Credit Union Conference in
Barcelona on Monday, July 27, during the opening general session. The only son of
Their Majesties King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, Prince Felipe is the heir apparent
to the Spanish throne.

Prince Felipe will introduce Monday's keynote speaker, former president of Mexico, Prince of Asturias, Felipe
Vicente Fox. Prince Felipe's international education includes attending high school in de Borbón y Grecia, is
Ontario, Canada, followed by Spanish military, naval and air force academies. He       the current Crown Prince
then earned an undergraduate degree in law from the Autonomous University in           of Spain
Madrid and a master's degree in International Relations from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

He and Princess Letizia, an accomplished journalist, married in 2004. Their wedding in Madrid was the capital
city's first royal marriage in almost a century. They have two daughters, Infanta Leonor and Infanta Sofía, aged
three and two respectively.

The Prince's father, King Juan Carlos, is a direct descendant of many famous European rulers including Queen
Victoria of the United Kingdom through his grandmother, Victoria Eugenie, and Louis XIV of France through
the royal House of Bourbon.

The World Credit Union Conference will take place July 26-29, 2009, at the Barcelona Convention Centre. The
annual event brings together credit union leaders from more than 40 countries to discuss important issues for
