Cash for Kids cannot make cheques payable to individuals. We require all applications for individual children to
be supported by a registered charity who will agree to accept a cheque on the individual’s behalf. You may find
that the school or playgroup your child attends is a registered charity, or your health visitor / occupational
therapist may be able to advise you who to approach. Any organisation applying for a grant which is not a
registered charity must find a registered charity to accept the cheque.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Cash for Kids may only distribute money to or through a registered charity.
2. Cash for Kids exists for the sole purpose of helping children aged 18 or under.
3. Grant applications can only be made to children that live in / registered charities that are based in the
Rock FM / Magic 999 broadcast area. (Maps attached)
4. Consideration for grants will only be given to projects aiming to help children:
a) suffering mental, physical or sensory disabilities.
b) suffering behavioural or psychological disorders.
c) living in severe poverty or situations of deprivation.
d) suffering distress, abuse or neglect.
NB: No differentiation of importance is made between any of the above.
5. The Trust reserves the right to consider all grant applications individually and on their own merit and
from time to time add to our main grant making criteria.
6. Grants will not normally be given to the following:
a) national groups or charities – except in the case of a local project connected with a
national group.
b) any group or organisations with political affiliations
c) any bid which does not contain corroborative evidence of genuine need
d) any bid seeking funding for a trip or holiday
e) any bid seeking to fund a salary - unless an exceptional circumstance can be proven
7. Favourable consideration will be given to those projects which directly benefit a number/large number
of children and / or positively increase the quality of their lives.
8. Successful schemes will be of good quality with careful consideration being given to the safety and well
being of children.
9. Grant applications must be accompanied by the most recently audited annual accounts of the
organisation seeking the grant.
10. Timing of Applications:
Applications are submitted on an ongoing basis. All applications are acknowledged. The Trust meets twice
a year and will reply to successful and unsuccessful applications shortly thereafter. Meetings are not
scheduled at set times yearly but you will be informed if you have made a grant, when we will be reviewing
the applications.
11. The required quotes for equipment and projects are accepted in two forms:
a) Official quote from the supplier on letter headed paper
b) If using a high street store then product details can be printed directly from the suppliers
website. Cuttings from magazines and catalogues are not an accepted form of quote.
