BIOGRAPHY
WILLIAM CARLSON
Preferred to be called Bill.
Born Detroit Michigan 1959
At age 16 I worked as a porter at a large apartment complex. My duties were to maintain
the grounds and pick up trash. By the age of 17, I was promoted to maintenance assistant
to the Manager. On my 18th Birthday, I resigned from the apartment complex as lead
maintenance and joined the Military.
At the age of 19 I become active military. I was a Machinist Mate, (Engineering). I
spent the next 9 years at different duty stations, USS Flint (Ammunition Supply) and the
USS Forrestal (Air Craft Carrier) and Shore duty at the China Lake Naval Weapons
Center. Due to a serious injury, I left the Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd class (E-5) with an
honorable discharge in August of 1989.
With the training I received from the Military, I have worked as a Maintenance Assistant
at several Hospitals and Hotels. During this period, I have become certified in Heating
and Cooling systems and skilled in many other aspects of the maintenance field. I am
now employed at Sunlit Gardens Assisted Living facility in Alta Loma, Ca. I bring along
to Sunlit Gardens, all the maintenance experience from the past 20 years and an easy to
get along with character.
