U.S. National Register of Historic Places Slaughterhouse Covered Bridge [2] is a wooden covered

bridge that crosses the Dog River in Northfield, Vermont
on Slaughter House Road. It was listed on the National
Register of Historic Places in 1974.[1]
The bridge is of Queen post truss design.
Recent history
There are no documents to verify, but the 8 ton weight
limit seems to indicate that the deck has been reinforced
by I beams, likely in the 20th century.[3]
