same. One of the problems new affiliate marketers face is people who prey on them and
their strong desire to make money online. Of course our main goal in starting any type of
internet business venture is to make money. There are times when we want and need
money so badly that we give it up to unscrupulous people who only take it and run with, and don't
stand up to their over zealous claims. Your vulnerability is what they're hoping for. A
scam artist doesn't want you to know how to successfully market and earn money, instead they
want you to believe in their claims, and when you do, that is how they actually can earn $3500 in a
day. We all want to earn money, but the manner in which we do it is something that we
each have to live with. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to wake up every day
filthy rich, because I've scammed people out of their hard earned money.
As a new affiliate marketer your first goal should be to find effective affiliate marketing
training. There are quite a few programs online that will teach you very valuable internet
marketing skills, but to be a highly effective affiliate marketer, you'll want specific training geared
towards affiliate marketing. There are certain qualities you should look for before
signing up for any type of training program. Don't give your money away to anyone without
the following:
A Proven System: Any good affiliate marketing program will be worth every penny that you
pay. Look for training programs that provide written, verbal, illustrative, and/or video
instruction. These instructions should show you how, where, and when. What to do
and more importantly what not to do. Any lesson that you're shown should be thoroughly
explained and understood once completed. You should have a feeling of excitement at
learning a new technique that will enable you to gain affiliate earnings. One program that I
signed up with immediately actually torn apart three participants affiliate websites and
reconstructed them. It was amazing how this company actually sat down and looked at all
the things that was wrong with these websites. I was glad that I found this awesome
training program before I seriously started building affiliate websites. I know before getting
started what not to do. There should be proof that the skills you'll learn have been tested
and work. When someone charges you a fee for learning their system, they are more than
happy to show you the ins & outs of the system. Besides, the better the program, the
more people are going to spread the word and increase the sites membership, thus increasing
their profit. Money is in the comeback. If a system doesn't offer any value, it won't
continue to make money.
Integrity: One of the most important aspects that I require someone to have is
integrity. I myself try to display this quality when writing articles and making video
tutorials. When someone has never met you or has any type of physical means of
contacting you, they are less likely to trust you. We pay no mind to walking into a store and
giving the cashier our money for a product, because we know if we're displeased we can return
it. That's also possible online with merchants, but not so much so with some (and I do
stress the word some) online marketing sites. There are times when you know when
someone is being honest and helpful, and there are times when you know it's just a scam, but
what if the site truly looks authentic and trustworthy? Here are some things you should look
for in any marketing training program.
Contact information - There should be more than one way in which to contact the company.
An honest training program will provide you with a phone number, email address, physical
address, FAQs, and at times a name of the person to contact within a specific division of the
company.
Cancellation/Return Policy - Full details should be given regarding the program you'll be taking
along with a return policy should you choose to cancel. Most companies will not try to lock
you into any type of contract. As stated before, if customers aren't happy they won't refer
others to join. Nothing spreads faster than word of mouth, and an angry mouth talks a
lot.
Price & Cost disclosure - One of the most important things to look for is the price of the
program. All expenses should be disclosed at the point of sale. When you initially
sign up for any type of training program, you should know exactly what the fees are. You
shouldn't get any surprises three months down the line. What's stated is what you should
expect! Be sure to read all terms and conditions before signing up. If you have to
print out the T&C and read them later, do so before hitting the submit button. You can
always come back to the site and sign up at a later time. You want to be absolutely sure
that you'll get what you're paying for.
Expectations: Here's another important aspect of your training program,
expectations! An honest affiliate training program will be upfront and forth right when it
comes to what you can expect to learn and earn. If there's an earnings disclaimer, read
it! Don't go into your training expecting to earn thousands of dollars in one week. Be
realistic and understand that the purpose of your training program is to train you. It's not
about show and tell, it's an honest company who is willing to teach you the techniques you'll need
to be successful. One thing that I really like about the company training company I'm with is
that they show you their own personal mistakes. They even show you websites that they've
created that earn them money. And guess what, the some of the sites are extremely
simple. Sometimes we think things have to be so professional and exciting with all of these
exploding graphics and flash, but when it comes to marketing a product, you have to know what
people search for, how they search for it, and what makes them decide to buy. There is a
multitude of information that you must learn if you want to be successful in earning affiliate
income. The first thing that I learned was that people don't want you to sell to them, they
want you to help them buy. If you don't have that concept in mind, then you'll continue to
market incorrectly and your affiliate earnings will continue to dwindle.
