Unitus Rewards – Terms and Conditions
(Available on our Platinum Rewards credit card, Business Platinum Rewards credit card, &
Unitus Rewards checking account debit card only)
I. Description of the Program
a) Unitus members with Prime Share Accounts (“Membership Accounts”) that include
the Platinum credit card, Business Platinum credit card or Unitus Rewards checking
sub-accounts are eligible for the Unitus Rewards program. Participating members will
earn Unitus Rewards (“points”) for purchases of all eligible goods and services using
the Unitus Platinum Rewards credit card (“credit card”), the Business Platinum
Rewards credit card (“business credit card”) and the Unitus Rewards checking debit
card (“debit card”). The cardholder’s points will be accumulated at the rate of one
point per dollar charged on the credit card, one point per two dollars charged on the
business credit card and one point per three dollars charged on the debit card.
Cardholders can check their earned points by visiting the credit union’s website or by
calling 888.871.1681.
b) Accrual of points may begin on the date the credit card or debit card is activated.
Unitus may choose to convert existing debit cards to participate in the rewards
program; if they do so, accrual of points for the converted debit cards may begin on
the date the Unitus Rewards checking account was first opened.
c) Unitus Rewards program point earnings are based on the new net retail purchase
transaction volume (“net purchases”) charged to the credit card or debit card during
each periodic billing cycle ("billing cycle") by the cardholder(s). Points earned on
purchases are rounded to the nearest point; points lost through credits, returns, or
disallowed transactions are rounded to the nearest point and subtracted from the
points earned on purchases. The resulting total is then rounded to the nearest point
to arrive at the points earned (“net points”). If a transaction is subject to a billing
dispute, the point value of the disputed transaction will be deducted from the points
total during the dispute period. If the transaction is reinstated, points will be
reinstated. Unitus Rewards checking accountholders that participate in our check
protect or overdraft protection programs will receive points for any purchases made
using funds provided through those programs. However, Unitus reserves the right to
deduct an equivalent number of reward points so earned if you fail to promptly
deposit additional funds into any Unitus account as required by the check protect or
overdraft protection programs.
d) Points earned within a single membership account are combined within that
membership account. Points earned under different membership accounts cannot be
added together otherwise transferred from one membership account to another.
e) Points may not be combined with any other loyalty/frequency award program that
may be offered by Unitus from time to time.
f) Points will not be earned or accumulated for the following credit card transactions:
balance transfers, cash advances, convenience checks, traveler’s check purchases,
finance charges, late fees, annual fees, over-limit fees or transaction fees. Points will
not be earned or accumulated for the following debit card transactions: PIN based
transactions, cash advances, cash withdrawals; cash back transactions, or
transaction fees. At the credit union’s option, after providing notice as required by
law, additional exclusions may be included.
Unitus Rewards – Terms and Conditions

month the account was added to the Unitus Rewards program. Maximum
accumulation of points for the business credit card is 20,000 per month, not to

cardholders.
i) Points are not the property of the cardholder, and cannot be bought, sold or
transferred in any way (including upon death or as part of a domestic relations
matter).
j) Points are tracked and redeemable on a first-in, first-out basis. Points will expire
three (3) years from the date of issuance.
k) To redeem points, cardholder’s membership account must have at least one open
rewards program sub-account (Platinum Rewards credit card, Business Platinum
Rewards credit card or Unitus Rewards checking account) that is not closed, canceled
or terminated for any reason. If the only sub-account is a credit card account it must
be current (meaning there are no past-due balances on the credit card at the time of
redemption request); cardholder’s outstanding balance on the credit card must not
be over the credit limit; and the credit card must not have a revoked, charged-off or
bankruptcy status or any other status preventing credit authorizations. If the only
open sub-account is a debit card account, it must either contain sufficient funds to
cover all outstanding transactions or participate in the credit protection or overdraft
protection programs. Please note that voluntary or involuntary closure of a Platinum
Rewards credit card or Unitus Rewards checking account results in automatic
forfeiture of all accumulated points on that card.
l) The cardholder agrees to release Unitus Community Credit Union, the administrator,
and its vendors from all liability for any injury, accident, loss, claim, expense or
damages sustained by the cardholder, associated with reward or use of rewards
while participating in this program and in the case of a travel reward, anyone

damages, and the sole extent of liability, if at all, shall not exceed the actual value of
the reward.
m) The cardholder is responsible for determining any tax liability or tax advantages
arising from participation in the program. Consult a tax advisor concerning tax
consequences.
n) Unitus Community Credit Union and the administrator shall have no liability for
disagreements between joint cardholders regarding points. Discrepancies about point
earnings are not treated as card disputes. Unitus Community Credit Union’s decisions
regarding point discrepancies shall be final. Redeemed points are deducted from the
cardholder’s point balance as of the request date of a reward.
