Executive Team and Boards
Executive Team
Staying true to its youth-led mission, The A-list’s executive team is composed of college students. The
mix of resources, innovative ideas, and their ability to bridge the intergenerational gap between youth
and parents is a non-traditional spin on youth engagement management that is one of our key strategic
advantages.
Co-executive Directors
The executive director position is shared between Matt Norris and Asha Sharma. Their expertise rests in
two separate, but integral, areas for The A-list.
Matt Norris has five years of experience in youth development in Brooklyn Park, MN, having played a
key role in the creation of Champions for Youth, the City of Brooklyn Park’s official youth engagement
initiative. During this time, he has led the development of Champions for Youth’s strategic plan and
served as the project manager for the development of the city’s youth website. For his efforts, Matt
received the Key to the City and the Mayor’s Good Citizenship Award in 2008. Matt has also served as
an intern for the United States Senate and Minnesota State Senate.
Asha Sharma comes to The A-list having experience in a number of roles and industries within the
business world. Her work experience includes time at SC Johnson, Scottrade, and Virchow Krause &
Company, LLP. Most recently, she worked in Chicago for Deloitte Consulting. Asha also played a key
role in the development of Cops ‘N Kids helping to grow it from a small program in her hometown to an
international organization. Asha has been the recipient of numerous student and community leadership
awards over the past several years.
Together, the co-executive directors’ responsibilities include overseeing strategy and development,
securing funding, tracking finances, and serving as figureheads for the organization. They assist in officer
roles and focus on continuous development and sustainability planning.

in the organization and its decisions. As a result, an Advisory Board formed to act as a sounding board
for key decisions, initiatives, and opportunities. The integral individuals each represent a network and
