Pear and Sago Pudding I have been having fun using things up in my cupboard this week, remembering the pudding’s that grandma used to make I found this in Granny’s recipe’s it is beautiful, easy, and if you have one of those apple peeler and corer machines it will take you 3 minute if that to make. 6 Pears 60gm Sugar 180gm Sago 600ml water 1 tsp ground Ginger Thickened cream for serving Peel and core the pears, place them in a bowl, with the sugar, Sago, water and ginger. Mix altogether then pour into an oven proof casserole dish. Cover and bake in a moderate oven for one hour. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving with thickened cream. If you wanted to make individual ones you could do that and bake for approx only ½ hour.
